Bunch of stupid penalties hurt momentum.
5 had a holding one
11 had a holding one
25 had got one on our pp
12 had one on a over aggressive forcheck late.

Looked tired from 3 games in 4 days with quite a few Kms in travel and short rests

Decent week stole point in guelph
Then lost friday at home and took 2 pointd in mississauga
And ran out of gas looking tired today against Erie.

Whatever injuries ailed Kukumberg have taken a significant toll on him. He's nowhere near the same player he was before them. Looks slow. Not engaging physically. Not generating anything. Sucks to see cause he was really blossoming into a solid 2way F I thought.

Chartier only reason this is a game. We've generated next to nothing today. Especially 5on5.
I agree about Kukumberg. If he doesn't find his game by end of season. I would consider using both of r import picks. Find 2 highly touted 17 yrls who will come. Let them get a year of NA hockey under them and let them dominate in 25-26 and 26-27.

20+ games left outside shot at playoffs we shouldn't be playing 9 second line and scratching 93 and 92 (need experience and games on this young team)
I get it 9 is captain but 2nd line offensive role and pp that is a head scratcher!
Hopefully Letang gets 9 in a role he needs to be 3rd line minutes with 24 and rest can play more offensive. We need more offense

Sim was hurt. Not sure if that's still the case. Saw him limping last week. Frankly Lominac has given them less offense than Way. Also has taken a ton of dumb penalties & turnovers.

But I don't like him sitting. I don't see it with Doherty. I'd rather Lominac play over him so he can keep getting experience.

U do gotta earn it in some aspects & Lominac has not. Still think he could become a solid 3rd liner if he can work on some things this summer but I have a hard time getting mad that they aren't playing a guy who has 2 points in the last 34 games & has 0 pts, 3 shots in his last 10.

I think we are stuck with the over playing of certain vets over young guys. Letang has clearly made his mind up about how he plans to roll the lines and special teams. His plan is to get this team into the playoffs, which he was quoted saying in the observer. His way to the playoffs is through the veteran players. Unfortunately our vets aren't exactly fitted with the talent to do so. Toss in his apparent stubbornness and you got what we see now. Kids will get their chance next year I guess!

The rest of us don't see playoffs as a possibility. I'd bet my life savings on it actually. I don't get how Letang can possibly see this team getting into the playoffs. We will not catch Flint after the moves they made, that is a given... So what/who the hell are we chasing? I don't get it.

PLAY. THE. KIDS!

I'm hoping when playoffs look like a distant memory they then flip to playing all the kids. But as u said until then we'll see the vets play the big minutes rightly or wrongly.

As I said tho u do gotta earn it. Can't just be given t6 mins cause your young. Brown has earned it. Kostuch has played solid. Lominac has struggled. Doherty has struggled. Sims play dipped pretty hard. Hall comes & goes.

At least some of the vets looked alive this past week. Thought it was their best string of games in awhile. And even tho we'd prefer it now let's be real they r gonna be bad again next yr (likely) & there won't be a Sikic, Way to take up T6 spots. So the U18 guys are gonna play tons next year.

Especially the player's that are going to be here for next year as well, all that prep should start this year.
I don't feel the same way about 93. he hasn't been given opportunity to play pp like 9 has, plus he has been buried on 4th line, tough to get pts when playing 2 shifts a period, can't compare but 93 shows alot of grit and physicality
93 is going to be a really good player.

There's a handful of guys who gotta really solidify themselves the next 25 games + in the summer then camp for me if they are apart of the solution/rebuild.

Chartier. Needs refining in areas. Luckily not much competition. Can change quick tho.

Omeri. Needs to get quicker. Still in tough w/so many D coming back. But he's really grown on me lately.

Doherty. I just don't think he has it. But needs to be stronger. More assertive.

Lominac. Needs to get quicker & make better decisions.

Sim. Needs to be stronger. If he doesn't grow at all that's a hard ask unfortunately.

Kukumberg. Wouldn't of said this 2 months ago, but sadly he has not looked good whatsoever lately. If he can't recapture the form he showed pre injuries they gotta think about moving off him.

If there isn't much improvements from those guys & they aren't replaced (be stupid to spent assets to replace them unless it's with other U18s) next year could be even worse. Somehow. Because you can only ask so much of the '07 class who will only be 17 , Wainwright, Fischer, Young & the upcoming rookie class.

I think next years guys

Doucette and filak (Letang has crush on them)
Time to start playing top 6 think they earned it
Wainwright
Brown

Kostuch
Moses
Hall
Lominac
Next year's 1st rounder
Sim(think hes a father connection makes him lock)

Barr RH
Young
Omeri RH
Fischer
Hurt
Macdonald (local kid)

Mailett
Chartier
Syrzika(overage may work against him)

Out
Kukumberg lost form
Doherty just doesn't have it( trade)
Cajkovic(too soft not liking what I see makes alot of soft plays

Michael Haley for D coach.

MacDonald will be a tough one. Local kid.. battles. But OA & they think very highly of Bridgewater & if he isn't on the team that'll be a bit of a disappointment

But I would agree up front & in net. Get a dynamic kid top 4. Try to get 2 dynamic Fs in the import draft & all of a sudden you've injected a ton of life into the F unit + if Denney can make the team. Add that to Brown, Kostuch, Wainwright & we'd actually have some fun talent! Hall, Moses could be a really solid 3rd line duo if they can develop.

Goalie will be so up in the air. We have 0 clue if Maillet is OHL level. 0. If he isn't that's an issue. And if Chartier can't improve then we are totally screwed & will need to go trade for a goalie.

Be interesting to see how high they take a goalie in the draft. Or maybe they dip into the import draft for one if they have doubts. Haven't done that in some time.

Perfect world for me is are lineup is something like

Brown-Wainwright-Doucette
Kostuch-Filak-Import
Denney-Import-1st rounder
Moses-Hall-Lominac
Sim

Fischer-Hurt
Barr-Young
Bridgewater-Omeri
MacDonald/Schnieder

Chartier
Maillet

+ Open OA spot & whoever else makes a surprise push/developed well.

Unfortunately seems he is unable to continue playing. Couldn't get cleared by the Drs. Might be the unluckiest year I've seen from a Sting player. Simply couldn't catch a break. Feel terrible for the kid. Think he would've helped a lot this yr.
Quite unfortunate.

You'd of guessed Wrong (as would've I)

Brown-Sikic-Schwindt
Kostuch-Way-Doucette
Filak-Wainwright-Kukumberg
Moses-Hall-Lominac

Fischer-Young
Hurt-Cajkovic
MacDonald-Omeri

Chartier

Don't mind these. Brown with 2 bigger faster guys. Should help create space for him. Surprised it's Karsen in net again thought we'd see them go back & forth the rest of the way. But don't hate it!

In tough tho. Soo are a wagon. Not expecting an overly close one.

I have the scratches right though,
I am surprised there was a juggle to be honest.
Letang just goes by age usually on any team he has coached older guys from 1st line down.
Looks like little focus tonight
on 21 getting his game going

Lack of finishing ability is rather apparent tonight. Wowza. Honestly not playing horrendous just keep shooting it right at the logo.

Chartier been fine. Not much of a chance on a few. Last 1 off hurt and in. Sucks.

Yikes. Thought we battled and hung in there for about 35 minutes. Then they became totally undone. Chartier the same. Not the body language or effort u wanna see from him in that 3rd. Young kid so take it & move on.

Kostuch was there best player tonight IMO so it was nice to see him grab an assist late.

Another 4,000 + to see a butt whooping. To say it's frustrating that they are 9-10-1 on the road but 7-16-1 at home would be an understatement. If they were 5-29 on the road but .500 at home I'd take it over that everyday of the week.

Onto Flint tomorrow. 25 games left.

Overall soft effort. Passes would ruin any offense had going. No a shocker the PP was aweful again tonight just think teams know what he are doing it isn't a secret it's a bantam pp.
21 just isn't getting better getting very hard to watch when he is on the ice and now he's on pp and killing penalties.
33 was below average today but Soo was ans is a way older and better coached team.
23 nothing going on with his new line. 11 and 12 just no chemistry and bright spot again was guy I've said I like and needs PP time is 27 foot speed needs work.
Don't think we would have had a better chance if we had a better game plan we just are below average in OAs and that hurts since they play too much. Hats off to a way better team coaches need to rethink things and give boys a chance to succeed. Going to be tough against good teams.

Watching the post game with Letang I'm sorry but he is out of touch.
Needs his vets.
they have worst +/- how are they going to carry the load it makes zero sense to me. Been around game a long time cant keep playing guys because they are oldest.
