Guess it's pile on Letang night for me. I do not understand so many things. One taking Brown off L1 when they've been rolling.

2. That 5on3 alignment. Holy.

3. U keep surzycia in after he gets lit up for 5 (not his fault) but he responds with a really strong 2nd period. Then for whatever reason u throw your rookie G in ICE COLD vs the hottest team in the league????

Asking for shenanigans when Chartier started the stuff in LDN. And what's even the purpose. Nick had a great 2nd P. Karsen probably assumed he was riding the bench when he didn't go in after 1. Doesn't excuse his poor showing but he shouldn't of been in to begin with.

Yah this weekend is gonna be a massacre. Sudbury might score 15. Martone is 100% putting up 5+ points Sunday. Draft can't come fast enough. Another packed house too. *Sigh*

I thought this was about playing the young guys. Funny Seca says this last half is about playing the young guys and Letang plays all the old guys. I agree. The PP was awful. Line chemistry was way off tonight and it was a flat effort over all. Not understanding why Kostuch was not on the pp with Brown and Wainright. I followed this kid in NB and he can play if given the chance. Lines looked solid on Sunday against Guelph.

I can see not putting him on PP right away as they lack chemistry but yah he looked better with Filak and Sikic. Wainwright is a hard guy to play with especially as a new guy.

Another thing I don't get. Is Letang said in his post game interview. That the reason he didn't pull Surzycia after the 1st. Is that he's a hard worker and wanting to let him have a good 2nd. And he did but then u reward him by pulling him in the net period. And then u put in your rookie goalie in cold and he let's in 3. Can't be great for his confidence on Friday. Just don't understand some of these decisions.

Another thing I don't get. Is Letang said in his post game interview. That the reason he didn't pull Surzycia after the 1st. Is that he's a hard worker and wanting to let him have a good 2nd. And he did but then u reward him by pulling him in the net period. And then u put in your rookie goalie in cold and he let's in 3. Can't be great for his confidence on Friday. Just don't understand some of these decisions.

I understand what he meant saying they just wanted to Nick leave the game maybe feeling better about himself than the 1st. But I think after he plays a great 2nd u keep him in.

Also Seca said Bridgewater should be up a bit. Gonna try to max out his affiliation games. Anyone know how many that is?

Actually it's 9 games,a 10th game means you have to card him.
Now when his season is over in B he can play unlimited games till then more then 9 applies.

One good thing is Flint added (mysteriously) & have much better veteran talent in Peer, Mancini, Dann, Pitre (x2), Slavicek etc than we do.

Good chance we don't see another win by the time we play them on the 20th. There rest of season schedule is also FAR easier than ours.

While I'd like experience for the kids we need a gamebreaker up front. Rather 50% chance at a top 2 pick then pick 5th. They can get playoff experience next year, hopefully, lol.

I believe they are allowed 10 as per Hockey Canada. NHL are only allowed 9 before the ELC can't slide for the year.

And I'm not playing those guys, especially Way. He battles his tail off. Does anything he can to help win & a great teammate.

But C'mon. Know the players skills & boundaries. U can put one of 9/11/15 net front and have 12&23 on the wings. Just common sense.

Letang and Coaching is issue, playing players where they play in defensive roles rather than offensive isn't going to help a player like 12/ 93/ 23/ going to be studs offensively.
Continually playing 12 3rd line with checkers(eg 24) isn't helping generate anything. If anything 12 needs to be wing and free up defensive responsibility.
Letang claims he learned alot from coaching in sweden for JRS all I see is same garbage, non offensive guys playing offensive roles because they are older. (9) That is going to hamper alot of growth from this young team.

Letang wake, up put offensive lines together and keep them for 6 games find chemistry.

23/12/93/92/21 need to play a Hell of alot more
Spreading older guys out to help young guys isn't good tactic either offensive guys need to play wih other offensive guys period find that chemistry for future and playing 12 mins in rebuilding year with non offensive guys isn't developing if a coach don't know by now players players that are Offensive

Just trying to figure out how a coach who knows this season is going to be trying isnt trying to showcase and develop the future instead he keeps using the past overrated guys..

Just dont think we are in yood hands at moment with staff we have.
Pp is totally on Haley or Jefferies
Giving up most SH goals is on Hefferies or Haley.
World Jrs all over just like the 1st half, letang going to blame the older guys for not competing and Yet puts them in spots and roles they cant excel or be contributors in.
Hate bashing 9 or 15 or 20 ot 11 but they have had years to show they are able to consistantly put up offensive chances.
Cant see it from them(league also thinks same was as there wasnt takes for any 20 year olds) thatvis fine but Letang let's dig deep and watch video and stop the insanity, put players in roles they can succeed which is best for them beat for team best for the fans which at end of day I want to be part of something great. Right now with this staff I dont See any great thing in Future and I should be Excited.
Players need to fail to succeed and develop. Not putting players in bug roles isn't giving them a bright future.
I'll see you all at the games hoping for different things.

These moves and same style by Letang is Exausting for me, think about these young guys why 92 and 93 scratch and 9 plays 20 mins??? Seniority yes but if worth the ice.

Letang actually pulled a goalie who gave up 1 goal in a period who was playing good.... never seen that before. He gets these ideas in his head and cannot differ from them regardless of how the game is going. Surely he sees what we see and is simply too stubborn to make a change or even worse, he thinks what he's doing is good. Letang's coaching is going to hurt our chances of landing an American kid because why would they come here to sit on the bench. I've never seen a coach or player hurt their reputation this bad this fast. I completely agree with Stingwagoner.... our coaching staff is so bad... Highest level Jeffries has coached is 5 year old AAA kids and Haley came in off the street.

after watching Letang in action at WJC I dont think he know how to coach talent

Dont want to bash any players just want to bring light to things I've noticed

ZF last year 38pts with burke and voit

Burke had 50 goals and voit had 100 pts.
Hmmmmm ZF 38 pts.

EW last year 33 pts played 3rd line limpar and vilmanis

This year ZF 21 pts 1st line ok and pp
EW 20 pts 3rd line 2nd pp and min ok

I have watched every game in past 5 years. Never have I ever seen something like this done to a poor kid that gives it every shift.. such a nice kid to talk to no attitude on or off ice

I expected the youth and the tough season. I did not expect our coaches to ignore and neglect the youth to the extent they have with playing favorites with the vets.

Get Letang and the rest of those duds off the bench ASAP.

At what point do the kids push back and pack it in? imo I think we saw some push back from the young guys last night... These kids all talk to each other and I guarantee you they don't have the best things to say about Sarnia right now.
