They certainly took quite the blow this week. Still not sure how much Erie or Flint will win the rest of the way. Can Sarnia pull off some upsets? Teams come in overconfident? That'll be their only way cause there's only 2or3 "even/50/50" games.

I'd say chances are pretty slim after this weekend. 10/14 left against teams that are top four in their conference. The other four games (FLT x2, KGN, MIS) are all pretty much must win games.

On another note I'm interested to see what they do with the goalies on Monday. Surzycia has played 10 of the last 11 games and he didn't look as sharp this week. I know you don't want to throw Chartier to the wolves against the Soo but you might have to bite the bullet and do it

Would've started Chartier Friday honestly. Not mad they went with Nick. It was borderline must win. But like u said now u need to get Chartier in. Realistically it might not matter. SSM is playing really good hockey.

Were catching the Soo on a back end of a long roady while were quite rested. That being said Soo are gunning for the 2 slot and these games against the Spits and Buzz are important for them. Flint's only 5 pts back of Guelph for the 5 slot too... I wouldn't be shocked if they get there. Guelph, Erie and O.S are all playing bad hockey right now while Flint is surging.
 
Well I see a few stolen points with these top end teams going home boys are actually playing really good hockey beside the last stinker and some mentally broke down and made stupid plays (2xs brown) which gave flint momentum which was hard to take back. Think Letang should have went chartier in second flint game just because surzycia needed a break. Now it's a throw chartier to wolves and might get confidence crushed putting up some big numbers. I'd say sit Surzycia and play Phillips or mailett. Maybe boys step up knowing rookie in pipes and teams don't know who they are playing against. Maybe we get an unknown advantage monday at home against soo with another packed house. Also get Sim in line up either way he needs to pick up his pace too and get games in. Scratch Brown needs to learn from mistakes with consequences that's my opinion. That's what I would do works for london with wilfore last year in playoffs and we couldn't solve him in few games we had that more talented team.

ur not gonna scratch brown after a bad game cmon. He's been really good the majority of the year.

With this signing today I wonder if it confirms that Cajkovic and Macdonald are done. Because with this signing and minus Cajkovic and Macdonald that still leaves us with 7 D.

Actually we have 8 now with this signing. I need to math better.
 
Big ask right away for Andersen playing a big, stacked Soo squad in his 1st game. He's a physical player. Hopefully doesn't get to charged up and run around a bit.

Imagine that's it for Bridgewater who's at 9 games. Really like what I saw. Good summer adding some muscle & I could see him becoming a real fun, exciting Dman for us.

That's 7 signed guys from the 2023 draft out of 15 taken. Seca said post draft he loved what they did. Can't remember them signing this many this quickly. Hopefully a great sign.

5 16 yr olds & 4 17 yr olds in today. Ton of youth especially on D.

Wowza. We barely touched the puck that pd. What a solo effort by Doherty tho. He keeps improving.

Fischer has been begging for a fight for weeks & u see why. What a beatdown. Never see Fischer that animated.

Soo coaching staff I guess is butthurt there guy got destroyed as they started yelling at our bench lmao. Bannister such a clown. Always screaming & acting like an idiot.

Have to learn to stop the bleeding quicker on the three goals in 44 seconds. Good last few minutes though. Nice perserverance by Doherty on his goal to bury the rebound. I didn't know Fischer could throw 'em like that! That was an absolute beatdown! Loved the emotion after the fight too!

They don't deserve to be in the game from a territorially perspective but man surzycia has had a ROUGH one today. 2 if not 3 bad goals + a flukey one off Schnieder.

Doherty is like a different player now it's crazy. Been our best today. Have not minded Andersen today. Plays with an edge which I love.

Surzycia doesn't look sharp. He needed the day off today. I really hope we see Chartier on Friday to give him a bit of time for a reset. A few more chances in the second. Need to bury a few. We'll see if they can make a push in the third
 
Surzycia didn't bring his best game but you really can't be mad at him ... goaltending has been superb all year. We may as well give Doherty big minutes now, he's earned it and let's see what he's got... give him confidence for next year. He's got a pretty nasty shot id love to see him be set up for shots on the power... wont happen tho because the most important thing is to get Way as much pp time as possible.

Gonna put today on Letang. Chartier should've started Friday or today. Didn't in either & surzycia played poorly in both especially today. It should not of been 3-0 or 5-1.

Soo are good. Very big & strong down low and along the boards. Such a miss match for our young defense.

Andersen was solid all things considered. Young did not help him whatsoever today. Left him out to dry multiple times & he bailed out the vet.

Doherty is an all new player. It's crazy what some confidence does to a guy.

This is gonna be a long painful 3 weeks of games. Heavy hitter after heavy hitter.

I don't get throwing in Chartier half way through the 3rd. Hopefully he gets the start Friday. Also hope to see the younger guys start to get some more ice time soon. Once the coaches realize we aren't making the playoffs. Which after this week it should be known if we will have a chance or not. I think if Flint wins 1 or 2 more and Erie wins 1 more I think it's over.
