What do you like about Hauf?I'm hoping for Luca Hauf which is probably a long short or Adam Sykora
Decent size at 5'11 183lbs point per game or more player plus he's played above his age level the last couple years with a U20 and U23 teams which should translate well hereWhat do you like about Hauf?
Just asking because I’ve been following him for about two years now and the more I watch him the less I like him. I’m still not sure how he ended up being a point per game player in the Oberliga, though that’s the 3rd tier league in Germany, which isn’t very good. Very little skill in that league.Decent size at 5'11 183lbs point per game or more player plus he's played above his age level the last couple years with a U20 and U23 teams which should translate well here
Unfortunately, I doubt most of these guys will come over as all of them except Suzdalev have pro contracts in their respective countries for next season. Suzdalev would a good pick for the Sting.I was looking at the top 100 prospects eligible for this years NHL draft. There is a few guys that are projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round of the NHL draft that I hope the sting can land. They have size and skill. 18 year old Filip Bystedt from Sweden (6’4 205 C), 18 year old Jani Nyman from Finland (6’3 215 LW), Aleksanteri Kaskimäki 18 year old Finland (6’1 195 C), Topi Rönni 18 years old Finland (6’1 185 C), Alexander Suzdalev 18 of Sweden (6’2 180 C). All guys available for the CHL draft, all forwards with size and skill.
Really depends on which NHL team drafts them and where they want them to play. Some NHL teams want their European picks to come over and get used to the smaller ice surface and North American style of game.Unfortunately, I doubt most of these guys will come over as all of them except Suzdalev have pro contracts in their respective countries for next season. Glad he didn’t come last year as we weren’t close to being a contender and we would of had to give up a tone of picks, be awesome if he signs this year as the sting should be alot better than last year and we won’t be giving up as many picks if he comes over this season. He could make us a true contender if he comes. He hasn’t signed with a NCAA team so I guess he’s probably waiting until after the NHL draft and letting the NHL club that picks him decide where they want him to play.Any word on whether you may sign Nick Moldenhauer? It would be good for you and Ottawa
Very happy for Thornton he will be a stud in barrie as the starter. Great trade for sarnia recoup abunch of picks which we desperately need before the deadline this season and we trade Thornton to the eastern conference, best case scenario. There goes Thornton to Barrie.
Happy for him. He deserves it. He is 100% a starter and will be one of the best this year guaranteed. Great trade for both teams.
Sarnia recouping picks…slowly but surely. Good stuff.
What a great return! I was unsure with so few games in the league + might only have 1 yr left what the return would be but a 2nd, 3rd & 5th is awesome! Great deal! No doubt in my mind tho that Anson will be a great goalie for Barrie. Such a fun goalie to watch I'll miss watching him make those crazy glove saves haha. There goes Thornton to Barrie.

He had a big growth spurt that summer so I'd guess that's why.Why did 20 teams in the O pass up on thornton in 15 straight rounds… ?
The sting will be using both picksImport Draft today. Sarnia bumped up two spots as two teams on front of them will be passing on their picks. Sarnia will pick 12th overall.
Sarnia takes LW Sandis Vilmanis. Latvian. I like what I see!! 6'1", great skater with a laser shot combined with a sweet release.
This goal on Gaudreau from the U18s
Unfortunate. I'm a believer in Malyavin. Think it was just a tough yr with injuries, covid, new country but he has legitimate tools to be a good Dman.Well Malyavin is gone Brandon just took him
