Ritchie finally gets a shift on the 1st PP unit and he immediately helps set up that tying goal. Who would have thought? Lol

Holy shit what a hit Steen laid on Namestnikov. That was absolutely massive and clean. Woowzzers
Ya namestnikov got laid out, I’m not sure what he was doing either he was kinda just gliding into the corner looking for someone to pass too and must of forgot about the defenceman 2 feet away from him lol

Nice win! Boys played well for the most part, Namestnikov got absolutely steam rolled lol but it seemed to light a fire under his butt and he ended the game on a positive note. Boys worked hard

They learned how to play 60 minutes and close out a game with a small lead. Hopefully keep that effort up consistently. Mast had some beast plays offensively 5 on 5. Burke and limpar lantz have been relentless dominant two way forwards love their games this year. Voit was Voit as usual lol. Ritchie was Ritchie. Martone looked good couple nice plays out there and played hard I think he’s going to break out abit sooner or later. Didn’t see the whole game but Romeo looked like a rock defensively. I was watching namestnikov tonight and from what I seen he doesn’t look confident and looks lost at times at what to do with the puck. I think a change of scenery would almost be good for him honestly. See if he can get it going in the next month.

Big 3rd period by the Sting. They stayed calm and stuck with the game plan and it eventually paid off. Couple dumb penalties make this game appear closer than what it was. Burke was a monster out there. Thought he really set the precedent upfront with his work ethic tonight. He could have had a few. Sarnia seemed in control despite being down. You could almost feel the come back was going to happen as the 3rd started. Big time win.

I'm fired up after that one. They played their ass off tonight & more than deserved the win. only 4 shots allowed in the 3rd. Didn't get discouraged they just kept pushing & pushing before they got rewarded & that only got them going more. Never let OS breathe. not even for a second.

I thought a lot of guys played their ass off tonight, but the 2 best (IMO) were Burke & Mast. They dominated. Burke's skating has become a weapon. He's dusting Dmen every game. Kid puts in the work & it shows & he may very well earn himself a pro contract next season.

I am such a fan of Lantz. High, high IQ & he plays with some real jam. Beauty hit in the 3rd behind OSs net. Another elite night at the dots (12 for 17). Namestnikov deserves the hate, but not tonight. He put his body on the line. Had 3 blocks in one shift, was physical & took that HUGE hit (fantastic hit) from their Dman. Wish he would've shot it into the empty net. if that doesn't show hes doubting himself offensively idk what will. he needs one & he'll get going.

Loved the play of MacDonell/Filak/Martone. They were putting together great shift after great shift & got the winner. Their cycle game was superb. Do gotta be more discipline tho. Another fantastic night for the Dcore. Another team kept under 25 shots. Gaudreau made 2 huge BA saves but other than that a lot of routine stuff for him.

Good fricken win.

Getting close to fully admitting I was dead wrong about Romeo. Gotta see it a bit longer, but he's genuinely playing some great defence out there.

He made a fantastic play in the dying seconds denying what looked like a dangerous zone entry. He's making guys pay for going to the front of the net & I love it. Hoover I thought was also a rock tonight.

Thru 5 games Sarnia is only allowing 22 shots a game. The highest being 29 vs SSM in a blowout win. The other 4 games all were kept below 25.

Also, full marks to the Sting. 2,900 for a Wednesday is damn good for us lol. Promotion did really well.

I loved this last night. Obviously it hasn't been a great start for Max, but if your not producing you gotta help elsewhere & he did last night. If your a guy on the bench how does this not fire u up.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was why Letang had him out at the end in a 1 goal game.

Get what you are saying but we didn't draft Namestnikov to rack up shot blocks on the stat sheet. It's one thing to block shots as a bottom 6 guy in a "non-offensive" role. But Max is a former 3rd overall pick, playing top line mins and STILL can't produce. If we want him to block shots, let's just put him in the bottom 6 and let others who do know how to produce get top 6 mins instead. I'm not sure how many more chances you give a player. Nothing in camp, nothing in preseason and nothing through 5 games. I do not discredit the talent Max has or his potential, but some quality time in the bottom 6 might help him get his shit together. On a team with high expectations, you simply cannot keep giving chances to players who aren't performing to standards. No excuses this year......sorry lol.

That's fair. I'm not saying it makes up for his lack of production just more so that it's nice he's willing to do other things. A year ago there isn't a chance he's blocking a shot let alone 3 in one shift.

He definitely has to start scoring. Do think he's struggling a bit moving to wing for the first time, but playing with LL & Voit u gotta just find an open area & they'll find u lol.

Give him the rest of the weekend & if he can't I'd really debate moving Wainwright up the lineup. He's still flying up&down the ice he just doesn't have much help offensively on his line. Him with Voit & Lantz could be really fun. I wouldn't touch L2 or L3 though. Loving their games.

I always new he could be a good shut down Defenceman , it was just getting the coaching staff to tell him he’s not an offensive defenceman who should be taking chances trying to go end to end all the time. That was his biggest problem last season and in the pre season this year. He was solid in playoffs last year from what I remember. Just needs to focus on being a good skating, big/physical shut down guy that can make a good first pass out of the zone like he has been and he will be in the AHL next year or the following year.

The team is winning, and if Namestnikov contributes by flashing a little D, then that’s his contribution for now. If his lack of offensive production was part of a losing record, then he’d be cut less slack. But when the team is 4-1, no point in rocking the boat too much.
As said before, if he can learn to find the open ice for Voit and Double-L to feed him, he’s going to have his moments.
This team, with the exception of the Saginaw fiasco, is so watchable this year. I love the effort.

Another tough one tomorrow vs 3-0-1 Windsor then Sunday a really good MIS team followed by a home & home with Flint (many peoples top team)

As fast as we've gotten to 4-1 we could be 5-4/4-5 so hopefully the boys bring the same effort they did yesterday all the time. Will win a lot of games if they do.

One of my favorite things about having a good, top end team is these games vs other top teams. It's awesome hockey to watch & so intense. We don't get it often here (lol) so I enjoy & appreciate it even more when we have it.

Tough stretch of hockey no doubt. Pretenders or Contenders? We will find out over the next 4 games. Tonight's game is a battle for 1st in the West, so I'm sure some added intensity will be evident within the game. Looking forward to it.

Hopefully there's no drop off from Wednesday's effort. They worked their tails off to win that one. Need to build off it & make it the norm.

There's a lot of good teams this year. More than usual I feel. Not many "freebies" on the schedule. Hopefully this is the night Namestnikov gets going. Martone did everything vs OS except find the net. Wouldn't be surprised if tonight's the night he gets his first.

That's what I'm hoping for. A consistent effort throughout the game. It's ok to lose some games, just as long as it's not for a lack of trying. Usually Sarnia's losses are because of that exact reason. There will be games where we don't get the bounces or run into a hot goalie, but the key is a consistent effort.

Whats everyones prediction for tonight's game. I'm gonna say 4-3 sarnia

This is a tough one. Coming down to special teams I think. Sarnia won’t be able to afford the same dumb penalties vs Windsor that they had vs Owen Sound. I think they learn. 5-3 Sting

11F/7D tonight. Doucette, Harper out. Campbell in as 7th D.

Hoping for a W but have a feeling they may lose this one. 4-2 (eng) Spits. I also hate picking my teams to ever win haha.

Guess max only gets points for other teams. Play him more coach. Wainwright and McIntyre can just keep sitting on the bench all game. 🤡
