Wow. Leenders is putting on one of the better goalie performances I've seen recently. Sarnia should be up a few yet are tied.

Been an impressive 40. See if they can finish strong & get a well deserved 2 points.

Deserved better in that one. 2 absolute fluke goals in the 3rd & a phenomenal game from Leenders wins MISS the game, 3-2. Boys played their tails off vs arguably the top team in the east. Was a tremendous game. Most physical one I've seen all season, stellar goaltending & a great pace. Back at it WED vs a really, really good FLT team.

I think its time to move on from Namestnikov, start looking for a trade on him, we have too many petite forwards, gonna be tough to get value back but the guy is a turnover machine, package him w daviault. Good teams find a way to win. Sarnia is not good. Steelheads goalie played good but like I said, good teams find a way to win, bad teams find a way to lose = namestnikov

I would NOT trade Daviault lol. Sometimes u run into a hot goalie.. it happens. Not to mention 2 flukey goals. Sarnia outplayed the top team in the East in their barn. I'm more than happy with the effort.

I do agree Namestnikov should be on the block. He's playing terribly & playing a prominent role. Go get a Arcuri type F to really solidify the top line/top-6.

Agreed Namestnikov needs to go send him somewhere for picks and go get a better top 6 player also considering moving Dillingham some where for a more experienced OA Dman if the Sting want to go somewhere this year they need to do something quick before the season gets away from them but then again it's Sarnia so don't expect much

You could probably get Brett Harrison for Daviault..

I feel like we know what this team is mostly. They are good. Showing signs of being really good. They are a fast team & look really solid down low/along the boards/cycling. Their defence looks really strong, they have good depth up front, the imports early on look like very good players who should only get better with experience, more chemistry. Voit is one of the most dynamic players in the league. Burke is gonna have a big OA year.

Filak, MacDonell, Wainwright, Martone have been good B6 players, Doucette is a solid 4th liner. McIntyre is showing good improvement as a depth guy. On D Mast has looked excellent, Romeo has been solid, Ritchie looks primed for a big year, Daviault has been really solid, Hoover has been solid on the 3rd pair. Don't sleep on what Dillingham means to this team. He's incredibly dependable & a leader. Compliments the T4 so well.

The biggest hole/weakness is obvious. Namestnikov we all had hoped was gonna be a 50-60-65 point 2C for us. Unfortunately he doesn't look to have improved much, if anything he's regressed which has created a hole in the T6 & they are asking Sikic to play a position (C) he's not used to playing.

We talked all summer & camp how if they were to contend they'd need to add another dynamic F & that hasn't changed. Im very happy with where they are at outside of Dillingham's injury & Namestnikov's play. They've been the better team in 5 of 7 games, including games vs KIT, OS, MISS, WSR (1st time) who all have very talented rosters.

Maybe some of you guys don't think so or maybe I'm an idiot (more likely), but I think this team has a lot of upside when they play how they can & will be a real problem come the playoffs, especially if they decide to add. But like 99% of teams in the O they got things to clean up. Flint b2b up next should be some great hockey.

First game I have seen in a couple of weeks. I thought the Sting were easily the best team in the 1st period. What I don't get is the lack of accountability on this team. There were multiple times when they were on 3 on 2's and the player with the puck tried to dangle at the blue line and turned it over. How can the coach allow that to happen? I'm sorry but the leash that Vilmanis and Namestikov get is ridiculous. Both are underachieving with the amount of ice they get.

Namestikov is awful. He is a turnover machine yet the coaches play him like he is a star. Yes he was on L3 today but still on PP and 4 on 4.

Yeah Their doesn't seem to be much accountability no matter how bad Namestnikov plays he gets a tone of ice time drives me nuts you can't win with no accountability

I'm a Sarnia Sting fan so I'm not really drinking that Kool aid your selling on how good you think the team has been, I'm my opinion, which is very irrelevant lol I honestly think they are a frindge playoff team. Look at the plus minus thuio
s far for the big boys, not great. Gaudreau hasn't showed much for me this year and almost seems to have not improved much over the summer. Like a poster stated , they are turnover machines and that kinda play isn't what wins games let alone playoff series. I just don't see it yet with this team. It's very early but I ain't drinking that Kool aid

We all know what happens with this team come April & odds are it'll happen again cause it's what this organization does. I'm just saying I think this team is good & could be great by years end.

We are both entitled to our own opinions & we just don't see it the same way & that's perfectly fine.
