L4 has been incredibly consistent for us. I have no issues putting them out. 6 minutes left, the previous 2 shifts were L2 & L1. Don't wanna double shift them & then have them completely gassed when the goalies out.

If Ritchie doesn't blow a tire nothing happens. Just unfortunate that happens. Agree on Ben. He made 3or4 huge saves in the 3rd. Sucks the PS got thru him. Like I said he wasn't terrible or even bad. Just would've liked to get 1 of the 4 to keep it at 3 vs such a stingy team like OTT.
lol why are you worried about Sarnia being tired... they were fresh while Ottawa just played the worst road tips you can do in the OHL. You need offence at that point .... If you can't double shift ur first 2 lines for 6 mins were in trouble. Rolling 4 lines is fine when ur up 12-1 but adjustments need to be made in critical points in the game....

the first goal was awful too... no clue where he was in the net.

Frustrating for sure. I think we all feel that we let that one slip away. There was good and bad in that one. Hopefully we can make adjustment for those types of games going forward. Onward we go.

They weren't down multiple goals. There's no need to panic down 1 with 6 minutes left. The LDN 7-5 loss here after the break they double shifted the top group & the following shift we got a PP & guess what? They were completely gassed & had nothing left to try & tie the game.

Not to mention the 4th line has been great. Not sure they've been out for more than 1 goal since forming. And like I said if not for 74 blowing a tire nothing happens. If u can't put out ur B6 to play meaningful minutes than your screwed.

Third period Anderson was on the ice every other shift... I like him but were behind and he creates zero offence. Sarnia, no matter who they play will always start the game at a disadvantage because their coaching is abysmal.
Clearly u just don't like Letang. we just won 6 in a row. Played a nail biter vs the league's best team & played well.

Absolutely crazy to think Anderson played more than anybody in the T6 in the 3rd. This "abysmal" coach has gotten a team filled with stars to play tight, disciplined hockey & according to u Gaudreau was just terrible so if that didn't happen it would be 7 straight with a W over the top team in the league. What a terrible coach.

The sting were chasing the game all day, and believe me, Ottawa is a very tough team to come back on. They are extremely solid in their own end.
67s have a number of guys who have a quick and accurate one-time release. We don’t. Something to work on.
Ben, in my opinion, is playing about a foot too deep when it’s pretty clear a guy is going to shoot. He’s great side-to-side but is very mediocre in and out. Should have been a couple feet further out on the penalty shot, and backing in. Something to work on.
Right now Ottawa the better team but it doesn’t mean they can’t be beaten.
7 wins… 15 to go.
No panic or finger pointing necessary.

Ur right I dont like Letting at all.... we won 6 in a row vs teams that were clearly much better than. Ottawa is forsure a good team but coming to Sarnia on the last game of a brutal road stretch is a bad loss....the team didnt seem ready to play. And yes, Gaudreau was bad. More than 1 thing can be true. Sarnia's roster is better than Ottawas by a decent amount .... whats the difference.. coaching and goaltending.

Disagree but it doesn't matter.

NB up next. Another really good team. Think it'll be a tough matchup for us. Very big, physical squad. See how we handle it.

That's definitely true about chasing the game. I thought we carried play but not by a ton. The teams are very similar IMO. U don't wanna fall behind either of them.

Donoso made some big saves & they made some clutch blocks. I didn't find OTT overly threatening offensively outside Morrison honestly but very smart, detailed team. No surprise with Cameron as coach.

Can't even begin to understand how this gets thru Gaudreau lol. Must've slightly lifted his leg or something.

The building was roaring late. A tying goal would've been awesome. Sucks DBB got a penalty literally right off the draw on our PP after getting within 1.

It was nice to see them come right back & get that 3rd goal at least. Easily could've folded at 4-2 that late. Sucks we couldn't win a draw at the end. Weve been really good on those this yr.

Jerseys looked great @honeydripper! Sucks they couldn't get the W in them.
Thanks, she had a fun day. I’m obviously very bias, but I thought they looked pretty good too. The auction action seems to be going strong, hopefully they raise lots of money for charity.
As for the game, Ottawa is a really good team. They are aggressive on the PK, very sound defensively, and really good at getting in the shooting lanes. Hats off to them, fun game to watch.
Perspective; it’s one loss. Focus on the next game.

For the record, Gauvreau may have let in a couple soft goals but he made a few beauties in the 3rd period. I think if you are being fair, you have to also include the good saves in the conversation.

Ottawa is a tenacious team that pressures the puck pretty aggressively. It reduces time and space for the opposition. They weren’t at their best today but they have some decent depth and the top two D-Pairings are very solid and responsible. Donoso is well above average in net. They aren’t flashy and when you don’t see them often, you can’t possibly understand why they only have 9 losses. You need to see them on the regular to be able to appreciate the “team.”

I also think that when a team like Sarnia adds two significant players, they need time to figure it all out and get all the pieces moving in the same direction. Ottawa was having a lot of the same issues adding Mintyukov and Morrison. It has taken a while for Mintyukov to feel right in a completely different system and for Morrison and Beck to gain some sort of chemistry. They still have some work to do in that regard. Same goes for the two Del’s. Peterborough is having some of the same issues with Beck, Hayes, and White.

You also cannot put a lot of stock into one game either way. I know it is hard but we need to look at the big picture. Sarnia needs to measure up against London and Windsor. Who cares about Ottawa? Measuring up against them only matters in the Finals. that’s a good problem to have if it gets there.

I’ve said this before and I will say it again. If I had my choice of opponent in the Finals for the 67’s, it is Sarnia. Best fans hands down in the entire league. We used to make the Western trip every year starting in sarnia’s first season in the old barn before the new rink. Always classy fans and we had a great time. Never an issue and always the game I circled on the calendar. The pisser is it seemed to be the game we always lost! Not the Sunday afternoon in London on a 4 games in 4 days. Always the Friday or Saturday night in Sarnia. Sheesh!

Windsor doing us a favour with beating down Owen Sound tonight. Sitting 3rd, and hoping to maintain that. Won’t be catching the spits!
Rough weekend for OS surprisingly. Were down 5-1 to FLT too. Windsor is a wagon. Nobody can match their firepower. Gotta be play real smart & committed vs them.

That's 'junior ' hockey for ya.

A few weeks ago the Attack beat up Ottawa 4-1 in the 3rd game in 3 days.

LeTang has done a great job with your team . I'm happy for him . He's well liked and respected in OS.

Very good game.Puck was bouncing all night & I thought that the Sting should have been a bit more physical. You make a mistake & the 67's will win the game.

Here's the renovations ferda mentioned. Looks a little crammed imo, but realistically there's only so much u can do in that arena. Should be very cool & a major, major upgrade.

Not sure who's putting in the most money, but major props to Hatcher & Legwand for continuing so soak money into this team & city, especially after covid. Can't say they aren't committed.

Let's hope this year's squad can help stomach the blow financially with a nice long playoff run.

It does look a little cramped but based on the finishes in the washroom it looks like they are spending more money on the look/finishing touches. I heard from a drywaller I was on a construction site that they are spending a ridiculous amount of money on the kind of wood used to built the dressing room doors and player stalls and the 🐝/ honey comb in the middle sounds like it’s going to be fancy. Definitely a nice upgrade for players and staff. I don’t believe they had a player lounge before, not the biggest but it’s definitely better than nothing, just to watch tv, do hw and have a quick snack anyways.

Oshawa has by far the best dressing room area in the league. Here’s Oshawa facilities and the knights dressing room.

For there arena size it'll probably be near the best. Obviously LDN, OSH, KIT have better ones but there arenas are substantially bigger.

Very cool. Excited to see it when it's all done. Should help recruiting efforts & make the team feel more professional like the scoreboard/ribbon did. The in house production has gotten drastically better too. It's quite impressive now. Just need a big Bee for them to come out of lmao

Kitcheners is very nice and Oshawa is phenomenal. Honestly don’t think londons is very nice at all…. Very average. None of those dressing rooms look huge either just basic size. I think once Reno’s are all done sarnia space will seem bigger.

Always tough to tell on camera too. I’m sure it’s a lot larger in person. Either way, it’s a massive upgrade and one that should help with recruitment.

After tonight's game the Knights have 20 games to go and this team called the "Sting" show up 4 times as our opponent #^%&*#. By no means do I want to place a jinx on you (ya right) but you guys appear to be the cream of the crop (arguable for sure Windsor bought LARGE at the deadline as well) in the West. So .... should be some fun for sure! Last time I say it for competitive reasons but enjoy the run, may you loose in the Conference Final to a team just a short hop down the 402! Cheers Sting Fans .....

Unfortunately if our teams are to meet it'll likely be Round 2! Unless u pass WSR.. what an epic series it would be if SAR&LDN met in a championship series. Be quite the first lol

GL to u guys too.

Yes to play for something of substance would be fun. As for catching Windsor it's not out of the realm of possibility I guess? It's weird in London we have somewhat of a non-typical Knights team on our hands? Really no "mega stars" just a real solid team that is quite disciplined and defends super well. Going to be fun ....
