Good to see the depth coming through tonight. Wainwright, Way, Filak, Lantz all having really strong games. Love having Hoover back…what a hit! Good he was instigated so the fight won’t count against his totals.

Filak hurt his shoulder on a hit from behind. Hope he's alright. Can't lose him so close to playoffs. He's been really solid.

Yeah that would be brutal. He’s been heating lately.

Good win. Surzycia played great. Not overly tested but had a few good ones and was steady all night. Good game for Voit. Needed to see that from him. Hopefully we can close things out tomorrow with another win. I’d call that a successful weekend if so. Should be a good physical game.

Finally back... finally lol.

Really good win. Especially with the delay. Definitely had bus legs early but shook them off fairly quickly

Got good contributions from everybody. Thought Wainwright & Lantz were awesome as were 36/86/96. How about Way being at 11 goals now! Not to bad for a 4C. He's been so reliable. Defensively just so suffocating. No space for sag all night. Surzycia was rock solid. He's been terrific since Ben originally left for WJCs. I had my doubts but he's proven me wrong for sure.

Fingers crossed 11 is OK. Actually sat 8-9 seats from him in the 3rd. His family was there. Had ice on his shoulder. Hopefully isn't bad. He's a playoff type guy & we'd sorely miss him.

How was the Chili?

Didn't have it. Not a fan of chili haha. But the other poster was right. Best smelling arena by far! Haha.

Absolutely loved our physical play, too. We laid some beauties. Felt like every D had 1 bone crusher. Even Mast & Ritchie got in on it.

LOVE Hoover. Huge hit, great tilt, then the SAG guy was trying to hype up crowd, Hoover was flexing & screaming at our bench, "Let's f*cking go" over & over. Fan started chirping him & he turned & flexed lmao. Got an assist, too!

Sunday game time changed from 2pm to 4pm today vs NB because of the late start/end to last night's game in Saginaw.

See what today brings. Gonna be a gutcheck type of game. 7th game in our last 12 days, 10th in last 18 coming off a super late start yesterday.

Would absolutely love a W, but know it'll be rather tough. Doubtful we see Filak even if he's okay as I imagine they wouldn't wanna risk anything.

Fun period of hockey. Fast, crisp passing & some good hits by both sides. Some good saves too.

Top line had some sweet passing plays. Nice feed by Kyrou (who's had a great weekend) for that snipe by DBB.

Another putrid 2nd period. Gaudreau has been unbelievable (again). LOVE Voit getting in there. Ik u don't want stars doing that but that goes a LONG way in the room.

Del Mastro is toying with these guys lmao. Gotta score on this remaining 5on3. They're becoming unglued & getting up 3 would be big. What a sick release DBB has. Poor goalie didn't stand a chance on either G

Watching the game. I think Sarnia is getting some real breaks on these calls. 2nd man in twice and no call? I have no idea how Sarnia ended up with the power play out of that scrum? Should have been NB power play.
Sarina have been the better team but calls are definitely going their way.

Power plays were even going into the scrum so not sure I’d be playing that card. It’s OHL officiating, it’s going to be trash either way. NB couldn’t take a goal against without crying about it so that’s on them if they weren’t expecting a reaction from Sarnia and the officials.

I think it should've been offsetting.

Yes NB over reacted and deserved penalties but they only put Voit in the box? What about the DDB tackle? Anyway I have no skin in the game and don't have time to watch the 3rd so enjoy.

Yeah they did. Should have at least been evened up. I'm with you, I don't know how Del Mastro didn't get a penalty

A hump or two to get over (i.e. hanging on to leads over London), but overall still have a chance for the “magic 40”.
I feel soooo much better about this team when Ben is the best player in the ice.

What a weird game! PP was great scoring five times. Ben was solid once again. Not my favourite type of game to watch if I'm being honest. Doesn't really show you how the team stacks up against a top team like North Bay. But a win is a win! Got to be extremely careful against the Soo on Wednesday. That's a huge trap game

Edit: Looking at the standings we have a chance to clinch a playoff spot with a win on Wednesday night so hopefully they use that as a motivator along with the 7-3 beatdown the Soo put on them the last time they played.
