Sarnia Sting 2022-23 Season Thread (Part 2)

Seriously though they gotta show us something tonight. Not saying they gotta win, Windsor is on fire & have added 3 good players in the last 72 hours. But if we are to believe in them this has to be a close, competitive game. No more garbage performances at home. No excuses. Everybody is in except Gaudreau (least I think)

Start on time & play a full 60. Whatever happens, happens.

Seriously though great to see. The ppl of Sarnia are the definition of insanity

I will say this. I’ve been all around the league. I haven’t travelled much over the last 10 years but the nicest and most welcoming fans in the league without nearly a question were Sting fans.

I will NEVER have a bad thing to say about Sting fans. People in Sarnia are awesome!

Easily our best period. Everyone is getting involved and engaging. Full team effort. Good to see an extra pep in Voit’s step. He looks dangerous tonight. Suffocating Windsor at the moment. Let’s keep it going. This would be a biggie.

I did not. Of f*cking course tho right. We FINALLY get healthy & are playing our best game of the year & one of our best guys gets hurt probably on an innocent play.

As for the game just outstanding stuff. From start to finish our best effort since the playoffs honestly.


That was how good this team can be when everything is clicking. Absolutely suffocating defensively, awesome off the rush

Said L3 needed to step up & did they ever. Martone's best game in the league. He was unbelievable. Sick sick goal too. Way was awesome all over the ice. MacDonell's best game in weeks.


But all 4 lines, 3 pairs & Surzycia were great. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. Every guy was backchecking hard. Passing was exquisite.

Massive win & one they need to build off. Crowd even got a good wave going in the 3rd. Had a Wsr fan in front of me & I heard them say "is this sarnia!?" Which made me laugh pretty good.

I thought Pastujov played a really good game too. He had the four points but early on in the first period he had a nice pass breakup in the defensive zone off the back check that caught my eye. He was using his stick and his body well tonight especially on the Voit goal. Separates his man from the puck with the hit and then makes a beauty feed to Ty. I really like it when he plays without Burke and Voit. He really drives the play when he's not playing with those two. His line with Filak and Sikic was great all night. Sikic finally got a goal too so hopefully that gets him going

Was gonna post about how that shot block just sent a fabulous message to the whole team. One of your best skill guys giving 100%++ for the team. This guy is amazing… way better than I had anticipated.

Also too bad Martone got a post when he had about a foot of net with a half a minute to go… would have loved to see him get a Hattie
