God I hope so. Wish there was clarity when these type of deals are made. Some teams are very specific & others aren't insightful at all.

Del Mastro will definitely be a fan favorite. Moving Martone hurts. A lot. I'm a huge believer in that kid. If we don't go on a run (west is stacked..) this will be incredibly damaging.
I’m torn on this too, if it happens. Martone is only going to get better, but you can’t half ass “all in” either. I’m cheering for whoever pulls the angry bee over their head every game anyway, let’s go!

If we trade Martone tomorrow I predict we have a good JR C team for the next 2 years. My money will stay in my pockets . We may win one or minor possibility 2 Playoff series after that it's over. 23 years as a STH I have had enough !

My opinion has remained the same all season especially in the past month, and even more so now that Windsor, London and kitchener have made significant moves and that is that this sting team isn't in the same tier , especially w london and Windsor. Trading Martone is a HUGE mistake that will cost the franchise for years to come. Martone is the type of player you can build around in the future. Seca please don't trade Martone, we won't make it outta the first round

You guys could definitely & probably are right. All year I said this was our "go for it" year, but I always said I wouldn't trade Martone unless it was for Wright or Johnston had either been sent back. Del Mastro for me is right on the line for is he worth Martone.

Especially after spending so much for Kyrou I do struggle to accept giving up Martone + picks for another Dman even though E-DM (what im calling him now lol) is arguably the best in the entire league. It feels like overkill to me. especially when there's an obvious more glaring need up front that wouldn't cost Martone.

They'll have no picks left to address the holes up front so if they are to go add a F of value it very well may cost Wainwright or even MacDonell depending on the level of the F & holy smokes would that leave us with nothing for the next couple years. We'd be less than 20 wins bad & if they don't go far after spending all this id be right with you, Howler. Im not sure I could fork over more money to watch that with nothing to look forward too.

My biggest thing is when this move is announced (probably tomorrow) we will be committing to being a stingy, defensive team that will try to win 2-1, 3-2 every night vs the other elite teams. Before the season I would've bought into that & believed in it. But how can they put all their eggs in that basket when Gaudreau has been so underwhelming. With this defence & Letang's defensive approach this team could absolutely be a defensive juggernaut who allows less than any team in the league. but it won't matter not even a little bit if Ben doesn't find his game & who knows if he will & if he doesn't everything we've traded away will have been total waste & we will be in for 2-3 years of complete misery..

I am nowhere near as confident as I was even just a month ago. We play a loaded up & getting better Windsor tomorrow & PBO, OTT next week. 3 of the best teams in the league who are all adding. Cant say my hopes are overly high tomorrow with how Surzcyia played last weekend & WSR on fire but I guess we'll see.

Gonna try to enjoy the stretch run & see what this team can become before playoffs. The west is gonna be a bloodbath so I am not sure seedings even matter, but it would definitely be nice to have home ice.

Definitely a name to remember come draft time. Heard a lot of good things about him. We haven't had a true stud out of Sarnia in awhile hopefully he can be one.

'gifted' is a big stretch. Seen him play a couple times so take this for what it's worth. Looks fine against local weak competition but invisible against real teams in big tourneys. Best guess is 2nd or 3rd rd

Del Mastro will be a fan fav.. just not on the Sting. You won't have to worry about that pain of losing Martone..

Would certainly be a wild turn after weeks of people saying it's happening. I've gotten myself pretty excited for it that it would be a bit of a letdown haha, but it would give us a chance to truly address the Fs.

Some past years guys who were @ WJCs didn't get there trades announced till 3or4 days after. Probably be telling if Martone plays tomorrow.

Being a Sting fan takes a lot of intestinal fortitude my friends. You all are looking solid this year with a legitimate shot at having a solid playoff run. Then Kitchener and Windsor decide they are ALL IN x 2 and of course Saginaw and London are probably seeing results in excess of what there roster would suggest for this season. Someone mentioned two good teams are likely to go out in the first round and of course that is accurate ..... fingers crossed for you all. Well unless you draw the Knights in the first round of course!

If you do land Del Mastro the kid is a stud, a man amongst men. He had an amazing WJC would be a huge addition where ever he lands!

you must
Wright and Clarke have been sent back to the O. Petes, Barrie and Ottawa are pushing hard for Wright and Sarnia is in the mix. Likely all other trades are being held up by the Wright decision.
Also hear Mintykov going to Peterborough, Delbellbuluz to Barrie. No confirmed. Stay tuned should be a wild few days
just be throwing s*** at the wall right??

Non popular opinion, sell off all our players for young guys and picks and be good for once
This exact post has been rolling around my head for a week. No bad ideas in a brainstorm (It would set the team up for a long time), but the one who would ultimately make the decision to sell would lose his job, right?

Maybe but true loyal fans would still be here.

I saw this on another thread, but we should call Rachelle's and see what Sting jerseys are getting stitched up today. The embroiderer as our insider, foolproof.

lmao, Frank Seravalli is hinting at a deal being in place for Del Mastro that may generate more of a return for Missy then Wright does for Kingston......

Hear me out, my current thought is that with Windsor london and kitchener all going balls to the walls and Windsor and kitchener running their cupboards bare we should totally sell as much as we can and set ourselves up for the next five years while Windsor and kitchener are crap. I wonder if the owners are trolling this idea right now. Seca obviously wants to win now but look at the competition , we can't compete in my opinion with the west being a juggernaut.
