Why is there more intensity & hitting in these pre season games than there was in the conference finals. Hope Sim is alright. Didn't look great going off. Really wish Hoover was healthy & in

Kids are being welcomed to the league in these games. Can't remember a pre season being so nasty & physical. They're hanging in there at least.

Offense is gonna be HARD to come by lol. Especially without Wainwright. Goaltending should be awesome at least lol

Goals definitely hard to find. Not much snipe out there.
By the way, we have the worst Zamboni drivers in the league.

Well had u told me before this weekend we'd win one & lose by one in the other I'd have happily taken it. It's pretty evident how hard pressed we are gonna be to score, but a lot to be encouraged with.

These young D look legit. Barr, Hurt played very well vs some great OHLers. Omeri yesterday was good. Fischer looks fantastic (does try to do to much tho).. Thought Campbell was pretty solid again today. Love how the future looks in the backend.

Brown looks legit. He's been arguably our most dangerous F which is great but also alarming lol. Looks like he'll play T6 & PP1. Love that. Sweet shot for his goal. Nice to see Lominac score. He definitely looks overwhelmed at times tho. Sim needs to play down. Not fast enough & way way to small. He's gonna get hurt man.

Gotta love Filak. Dude leaves it all out there even in pre season. Takes a beating. My choice for Captain. Contenders surely will want him. Hall won't produce much but I'm a fan of his 2way game. Great stick & defensive instincts.

Gaudreau was good. Goaltending gonna be far & away our best area. If teams need a G we best be calling them

Agree completely. My biggest take away these last two games is the compete level of this team is evident. They are going to have their growing pains and lapses on ice, but it’s been clear early on that this team will not quit in a game. I also like Filak as my captain. I just hope he can keep a level head more often. He does have issue letting things roll of his back. I think we will be happy with the effort these guys put fourth each game. The offense will come, but we can’t afford things like the Wainwright injury. Crucial the rest of the “vets” stay healthy. I have nothing against Way, but I really don’t see his value fitting in with this team specifically. We need him to put the puck in the net a lot more often and I’m not sure he will be able to. This team is also so young that having him for the room and bench is also something to consider. Sim will for sure need some time in Jr B.

I thought Sarnia played better as a whole today, but London was opportunistic on their chances on our blunders….kind of like we were the last 40 mins of yesterdays game on them. I expect to see this type of game happen a fair bit throughout the season as the team develops. Again, it’s the effort and continued no quit attitude of this team that will get them places eventually. Definitely happy after this weekend no doubt. How about that Brown kid though eh? Let’s keep that up lol.

Yah I mentioned before the pre season I'd move off Way. I don't think they will tho. They lack size & strength. He's one of their only Fs with those. Somebody's gotta stand up for the kids.

Ive absolutely loved Brown. Every time I watch him I come away more of a fan. He reminds me of Cowan/Barkey on LDN. Not big, but somehow wins battles vs guys he shouldn't, high IQ, good skills & clearly a good shot.

Yah this team will have its rough moments. No scoring & young D. There will be some doozy nights, but if these 2 games were any indication they won't quit & keep it close. Post deadline tho could be real bad. Teams will want Filak, Vilmanis. If they deal those 2 which they should it'll be a reallllllll struggle. Especially if Wainwright is out long term.

It's great that the Sting are at least set at one position as they start their rebuild. Obvously not all these Dmen will pan out, but i'm pretty confident at least 3 of them will, if not 4 or 5 in some capacity.

The way he's developing, id imagine Fischer is in the AHL at 20, but we should be set on D for at least 3-4 seasons with Barr (16). Hurt (16), Bridgewater (16), Omeri (17), Campbell & Fischer (17). Plus you'd hope 1or2 guys emerge from the mid to late rounds at some point.

Pretty optimistic Chartier is the next guy in net & he's only 17. Got no depth behind him for the future so that'll need to be addressed, especially if he doesnt pan out.

Brown looks like a good building block up front. Really need other guys to emerge. Doherty, Hall, Lominac specifically. None of them are locks to do so, though. I just can't see Sim being a legit OHLer at his size. Fingers crossed he grows over the next year. Definitely on Seca to try & find some diamonds in the rough via trade & then have as good of a draft as he just had on D at F.

Hoping with Wainwright out they double back & sign Soares. I thought he outplayed multple regulars in camp. Only 17.

The day after, I’m pretty happy with the team’s compete level. 3rd period push was good. Kukumberg caught my eye for the first 55 minutes, but he struggled mightily on his last couple shifts.
Fischer the best Sting on the ice. Gonna be fun watching him over the next couple years. Very happy with the D in general.
Brown is exactly what I’d expect from a first rounder. Great tools. Will benefit from playing time on the top 6 & PP.
On the less-than-great side, our O/As bring the same “hard work but bad hands” qualities as they had last year. I don’t see that getting much better. Vilmanis needed to work on his shot accuracy in the offseason, but I guess that didn’t happen. I hope he finds something special this year, but I’m concerned…
It’s still way early, and with the huge turnover on the roster, it will take some time for the guys to get used to linemates. Like everyone else, I’m expecting a 7th or 8th at the very best.

What's the word on Wainwright? Hard to watch a kid being stretchered off the ice. Hope he has a quick recovery.
Should be back but not for a while.

I LOLd when Vilmanis got that terrific look as the seconds ticked down & he missed by a mile. Not sure Ive ever seen a Sting player with worse accuracy. Shocking cause his hands are insane.

Copper way released?
Where u see that? He's been in the Sting IG stories today for media day

Niagara and London make another trade.
Conical. I'm only half joking that the league needs to look into those 2 making all these trades.

LDN is giving them average to below average OHLers & NIA (a bad team) keeps giving them 2nds & 3rds + a kid they took in RD2! Insanity & pure idiocy.

Looks like Hoover is not done although it still doesn't sound very encouraging.

“We’re just waiting for a final approval as to his status,” general manager Dylan Seca said. “He does feel good. It’s just a process that we have to go through with this injury. I’d say he’s week to week.

“He’s with the team. He’s practising on his own. We’re hoping to get some good news here soon.”

Wouldn't be surprised if LDN wants Simpson more. LDN kid but also had a way better yr than Gaudreau had.

Hopefully for our sake they are asking to much so u come to us haha
The only way I'm sending are starter to are biggest rival. Is if we get Bowen in return.

They're rivals now? Cute. I'll add it to list of almost every other team in the West n a couple out East ;)

Just playing......every one wants to beat up on LK.
