Truth be told, the Knights became a different team after Brochu went down. Bowen hasn't been great, but with all the pressure of having to fill Brochu's skates on top of the fact that the Knights defense hung him out to dry at the beginning of each of the last two games, that has to have weighed on his confidence.

I'm hoping the Knights players take ownership of their poor play and come out Friday playing the way they did with Brochu in net!

I think we'll still see one heck of an end to this series! Either way, both teams have to be happy about their respective seasons.

Game 5 is always the swing game in this type of series. Saw it vs KIT in 2018. We had a late lead in that game & lost in OT. Felt like a dagger to the heart & we lost G6.

This will be LDNs best game of the 5. We gotta be ready. This teams biggest issue far & away has been complacency or lack of killer instinct. We've seen it time & time again.

If they show either of those things they'll lose Friday & have their backs against the wall Sunday. If they don't & win the amount of pressure on LDN who hasn't faced adversity in some time would be crazy.

From things I've heard Brochu isn't coming back... was wondering if Knights fans have heard the same thing? Kinda weird I thought the last 2 games in Sarnia .... London played a much more wide-open risky style of play.... you'd assume it would have been the opposite with a rookie in net. Also, Sarnia deserves credit for upping their game.... its not all on Brochu not playing that Sarnia has turned it around.

Right. Combination of things. Not unexpected the Sting waking up. I just hope the rest of series is competetive regardless of results.

Murmurs from some in the know types, Brochu done.

Now if you will excuse me while I don my fanboy coat... Knights in 6 😁

high hopes are one thing.. cockiness and irrational expectations are another.... maybe thats why they're staying on their own thread for the time being.

I think it was hope for some and a confidence in 1 or 2 posters. The great majority also said it was, paraphrasing a downgrade, Brochu>Bowen ect....
I for 1 never raised or posted it as an issue either way. Is what it is.
Bowen was not the reason Lon lost IMO. Sting were better in all aspects and coaches changed things up or at least messaged to the players to change things up and they executed. So I guess some of the LK fans weren't wrong lol. He didn't cost them lol, JMO. Sting just took it. Even posted regardless of who was in net it would the 4 or 5 to win game 3 and did it pre game.
If 2 fans say it's no issue it shouldn't paint the majority of the posters who said it was an issue.
I just feel for the player not being able to go out on their terms, play their game n having a chance to seize their moment. As a LK fan I always go back to the team has to pick up the slack. If any. ( yes I do think there is with BB out )
Sarnia was better for 2 games, London was for 2 games. Series is where it should be regardless of injuries, refs or us smarterer than the staffs as posters lol.
Enjoy the ride.
I do think the biggest factor was no practice or prep for Bowen. He was brought into a tough spot mid game and then play the next day. Not sure it will or won't matter with a day off now as the psychological part of the equation has already started playing itself out.

I thought it from the moment I saw it. And his reaction soon after. I have a little ecoerience with player injuries and the gut is usually right. Veryblittle coming out of the org. But there are whisoets one way or the other from people not directky involved.
But I've been wrong before and hope to again lol. Again I just feel for the kid, 2 years straight not healthy thru the playoffs. Tough on him, much tougher than some posters whinning cause they feel a vested interest as a fan whinning about Bowens play.

Agreed, it's bad enough he lost time due to Covid, and now injuries two years in a row, just as he was beginning to regain his old form and playing for an NHL invite on the (potentially) big stage. Sometimes life is just not fair. :(

Not a chance on Kyrou. He was a ghost for this team when it mattered most and hasn't won jack yet...not to mention he has always been a "me first" type player when he was in Sarnia.
Voit likely won't play many games in the NHL so I doubt him either. Sting don't usually have much to celebrate so who knows what they do. Be a rough look if they just started tossing leading scorers jerseys up in the rafters imo.
If kyrou continues to put up points like he he has the rest of his NHL career and wins a cup he will. He played 4 years in sarnia and put up a tone of points and if he has a real good NHL career he will for sure have his jersey retired. Voit as of right now he will not have his jersey retired. If he surprises and has a good NHL career he will.

On The Glass
I witnessed something heartbreaking last night.

In the 2nd intermission, a kid (probably 6 or 7 years old) was blowing his horn near the visitors bench.
Bowen grabbed the kid's horn and threw it down the hall, making the kid cry.
- sidenote - after 10 minutes or so, security found his horn and gave it back to the kid.

The little kids totally look up to these big kids. I get that Bowen was upset because he was losing, again, but to take it out on a kid of that age??

It was a total classless act from the goalie, who I think is no way mentally ready for this league.
You do know you’re making a story up about a 17 yr old kid ….. I’m calling BS … and you should be ashamed…. if that was true it would have been made public… I don’t know Zach personally but I do know the Knights have security around them constantly…….

I'll take things that didn't happen for $1000 Alex...

Lol. Calling someone a liar & saying they should be ashamed for stating something multiple ppl saw. Who the heck do u think would make it public outside the fans.

U expecting the Sting twitter account to tweet out Bowen stole some 5 yr olds horn? Lmao.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t see any of this but I can personally vouch for this posters credibility. He would be in the perfect position to see something like that happen if it did.

I have no idea if this happened or not but if it did happen I would imagine it would have taken place when Bowen and the knights were coming off the ice going to the dressing room. In sarnias arena the fans can almost touch the players coming off the ice going down the tunnel, Again I have no idea if it happened or not.

Bingo. Many incidents over the years between players/coaches and fans in that area.

It was at the start of the 3rd period. Multiple ppl have said he grabbed it & threw it into the garbage. Was told by a buddy who said he saw it, too. They got "security" (if u even wanna call it that here) to handle it & they got the kid a new horn.

Like I said originally it happens. Isn't the end of the world. He's 18. More pressure than he's ever faced. Those horns r damn annoying 😂 & he snapped. Learning experience.

So if it did happen the kid was probably blowing the horn in the players faces.

Sarnia signs their 1st rd pick, Ryan Brown. See if they sign any other in the coming days. Usually they wait for rookie camp I find to sign the guys they think have a legit shot or have American interest.

lol boo hoo.... London expects the red carpet treatment wherever they go. I'm sure London fans have never blown a horn or said anything at anyone from the opposing team.

I actually didn't follow the draft at all this year.... did they take any potential sleepers in the later rounds... I mean like elite prospects who could be swayed from the NCAA??

Yah they took a few guys that would've went a lot higher if Canadian/were openly going OHL.

Seca seemed fairly confident post draft they'd get them over this upcoming season or the next.

Really? Red-carpet, Damm I should ask for more than I do :) It's usually the exact opposite treatment for the evil empire lol just my experience.

So kid minding his own business blowing a horn, celebrating and frustrated Knights player reaches into stands and tears it away from the 6 yr old tossing it in can

Or kid was hanging over ( a place Subject to many incidents in the past according to postsabove ) blasting in it a players face to rub it in and player grabbed it out of his face and dropped it.
I'll guess it's somewhere in the middle:)
Sarnia arena ownership should put something in place to protect both fans and players it sounds like.
Glad the kid got a new horn!
I blame everyone :). Player, kid, parents, staff and the Sting and Knights mascots :)
