Good luck Sarnia on your trip to the Finals. The Knights look completely lost without Brochu which is unfortunate but it happens.

Still you guys have a well built team and I’m happy for ya!

Beat the East!
Series is tied. Should be a good best 2 out of 3.

Great game boys, need to clear the London players out front of the net so Benny can see. Need a big performance in London have to be able to steal one there…Go Sting Go!!!!

Eh eh eh. Don't be doing that 😂. U guys have played well even with the uneven goaltending. If he improves these games will be crazy tight.

BEST OF 3!!! LETS GO!! Outstanding final 30 minutes after the 3-2 goal. Took over the game. Gave up very little high danger chances.

Pastujov set the tone in this one. He was otherworldly. 3A. Stud. As Tex said, Sikic & L-L were hounds. Insane backchecking from them. Wanna show Filak love, too. He was working so hard & had multiple diving blocks. But total team effort. Anderson with a goal, Wainwright with a beauty, Voit's best game maybe of the playoffs (cheap slash on him by Cowan)

Burke 2G/1A. Kid is clutch as hell. Mast 2A, +3. His best game IMO. Gaudreau rock solid as usual. Team did a much better job clearing out screens after the 2-2 goal. Gotta keep that up going forward..

PP has come alive & the coaching adjustments (Kyrou QB, Voit playing goal-line) are a big reason why.

They can try their best but some doubt is gonna start creeping in about Bowen. He's looked very shaky at times & showed some frustration. Brochu exudes so much confidence & calmness & that's gone right now & it shows in their game.

Enjoy it for a day & get right back to it Friday. Win that game & come back here Sunday in what would be an absolute madhouse. 4700+ again tonight with the highest 50/50 I have ever seen in the O at nearly 45K. Last 24 hours very well might have been my favorite as a Sting fan. Let's. Fricken. Go.

Outstanding work tonight! Looked like déjà vous in the second and then they woke up! Power play adjustments have made knights try to adjust and now has them scratching their heads how to stop it ! Same attitude Friday boys!

All I can think about is how nuts Sunday would be if Sarnia has a chance to win the conference.

Gonna be a war Friday. LDN is gonna come out hot. They'll approach it as a must-win. Bowen back at home so maybe he settles down. Heck maybe Brochu returns.

Just get a lead. LDN is a different team while trailing. Can't play their 1-3-1 trap or only do the flip passes. Makes them open up & chase the game.

Well earned 2 home Ws. Mo has shifted n Sarnia is in control now. JMO.
It's LK that now has to adjust n find a way or Sarina will be going nuts after game 6.

What an effort by the fellas tonight....Pasta was unreal... if he plays like that man, no one is gonna beat us. Ben was once again really good. London players were in Bens grill the entire night... chirping him and poking him... and the one time he pokes back he gets a penalty... man I dont know. Other than that I thought the reffing was good.... Great athomphere in the Hive.... Were buzzing.... take game 5 in London and holy smokes ... brace yourselves for game 6 in Sarnia.

Took care of business at home! They had me worried when they went down 3-2 but that was a great response after that. I said after the second it was time to shut down London and they certainly did. Only 8 shots and the one dangerous chance was from Mailloux with about 8 minutes to go. Pastujov played a great game. He was much more willing to take hits and get into battles along the boards. If he plays the way he did tonight, we're a much more difficult team to contain. Awesome job by the depth once again. Anderson with going hard to the net to get the first goal, MLL with the game winner on a beauty tip, and Wainwright with yet another hard working goal. Beats Bonk to the outside and then shovels the backhander past Bowen for a little insurance. Quietly a really good night for Burke too. 2G/1A, 11/13 in the faceoff dot, and a +2. Now time to go get a win in London on Friday night

London
Sarnia stepped it up tonight. London allowed the Sting far too much space on zone entrances, giving the Stibg time to set up.

The Sting defense started collapsing in front of their goalie. London had trouble getting pucks through, and couldn't drive to the front of the net.

A good win for Sarnia.

PS. I really enjoyed your barn, lots of fun, even though my team lost.

I could have sworn Kyrou was playing forward at times last night.... on the power play...... A little off topic question... Does Jordan Kyrou get his Jersey retired?? We were talking about it last night and he absolutely should. Then we started talking Voit. What do you think?? It would be nice to have some more banners in the rafters.

Not a chance on Kyrou. He was a ghost for this team when it mattered most and hasn't won jack yet...not to mention he has always been a "me first" type player when he was in Sarnia.
Voit likely won't play many games in the NHL so I doubt him either. Sting don't usually have much to celebrate so who knows what they do. Be a rough look if they just started tossing leading scorers jerseys up in the rafters imo.

Watched the game with @GoKnightsGo44 and for the first time in this series Sarnia wins and we can remain friends for now. Was getting a little nervous after the first 2 games together and was about to call the friendship off due to the questionable superstition of GKG44 being the reason why we lost...;)

New series no doubt. The Brochu storyline has definitely become the main focus of this series and will be the "what if" factor if Sarnia can go on to win this. I feel for Bowen. Barley played down the stretch because London was still jockeying for playoff positioning and then gets tossed into the west final at a moments notice...gotta be tough to come in and try to remain composed and confident. I think the team in front of him let him down big time last night. Sarnia did a good job at mixing their zone entries up a bit and creating a little more speed through the neutral zone before entering across the Knights blue line. Started to see some flashes of Sarnia cycling 3 guys high on the point at times which has been a horrible game plan for this team, especially vs a Knights team who can easily intercept and go the other way when Sarnia is being a little too cute with the puck. Definitely saw more bodies down low and in the dirty areas tho. Glad they are somewhat realizing that and finding ways to score in those dirty areas of the ice.

Pastujov must of saw some of us bashing him for his diving antics and decided that he was gonna shut all of us up lol. That man has been on a MISSION the last 2 games. 7 pts I think during those 2 games...wow. Need to see more from DBB away from the puck still and he and Pasta need to shorten the shifts a bit. They can get carried away and I can count a few times where they were on the ice for over 2 mins. No need for that with our roster.

Back to the bud Friday for a big one......safe to say that one likely decides this series based off what we've seen so far. However, this is JR hockey and the impossible is always possible in this league.

I would have gave my left nut to be at the game last night. Hope you all enjoyed it. F**k the Sting front office :)

I feel awful for Hoover, I truly hope he can recover from this. He was hesitant on his first shift, ended up on the wrong side of a hit he decided to throw too late. Then the collision with his teammate happened right in front of me and you could see the lights flickering as he went down. Made me sick, he’s been out for so long. As a parent, I don’t think I’d want him to continue with hockey/contact sports. I’m also not dumb enough to think that you can tell a teenager anything.
He’s a young man, these effects last forever. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer on this victory morning, I just hope he is alright.

I witnessed something heartbreaking last night.

In the 2nd intermission, a kid (probably 6 or 7 years old) was blowing his horn near the visitors bench.
Bowen grabbed the kid's horn and threw it down the hall, making the kid cry.
- sidenote - after 10 minutes or so, security found his horn and gave it back to the kid.

The little kids totally look up to these big kids. I get that Bowen was upset because he was losing, again, but to take it out on a kid of that age??

It was a total classless act from the goalie, who I think is no way mentally ready for this league.

Yeah that was the debate we were having... Rick Nash is retired in London and didn't really do anything other than be the #1 pick... Kyrou and Nash both have Jr. Gold and Kyrou's OHL career statistically is much better than Nash's was. Kyrou is on pace to also have an elite NHL career too. Better than Nash. Sarnia could build their brand better with a couple more retired numbers in the rafters imo.

It's ironic that London knights fans come on the Sting page to argue with Sting Updates and myself about Brochu being hurt not being a huge break for Sarnia .... him being nails... a stud... more than competent... London wont skip a beat without Brochu ...ect.... Then after 2 games complain that Bowen is over-whelmed and the reason why Sarnia looks so good. Delusional.

Thought the same thing.
Disclaimer: this series is far from over.
The number of hot takes from the evil empire made me laugh, ‘Bowen will get inside their heads’ ……ok

Unfortunately it happens. Obviously not what you wanna see, but emotions, frustrations can boil over for these guys. Gotta remember they are kids themselves. Bowen just turned 18 two weeks ago.

Has never played in this big of a game, in front of a crowd that rowdy. Still not what you wanna see. Least the kid got the horn back.

With Bowen, you can't really blame knight fans for having high hopes going into his first start. Hard to ignore his success in the regular season. So I get it. Unfortunately for Bowen and Knights fans, the length between starts and rookie status of the young goaltender seems to be a bit to much of an issue for a situation like this. A lot to ask of a newly 18 year old.

Things seem to be pretty tight lipped with the Brochu situation....lot's of speculation. Bottom line is you cannot ignore how massive Brochu's loss appears to be for London at this moment.

The pressure of who he was replacing has to play a factor, too. Brochu was having an all-time playoff run. That's why I was so shocked a fair bit of LDN fans were acting like it isn't that big a deal or Bowen is just as good.

They said LDN would know Tuesday the severity of it. So they know if he'll be back at this point. It's such a quick series with two back 2 backs it's hard to see him returning. He's a battler so he'll try but is it worth it? Risk further damage that could affect him for a long time. Risk not being anywhere near as good & costing your team.

high hopes are one thing.. cockiness and irrational expectations are another.... maybe thats why they're staying on their own thread for the time being.
