Brightside is there were a lot of openings on LDNs PK I thought. Sarnia had a few golden looks in tight. DBB has to be kicking himself for trying to pass when he had half the net open on that early 2nd pd PP. Would've been a huge goal.

Hopefully, keep getting those looks & we score. Letang said post-game urgency & shots thru traffic need to be addressed which is dead on.

I didn't think we defended poorly 5on5. Only 24 shots. 1st & 3rd they kept most of it to the outside. 2nd was sloppy though. To many odd man rushes.

It's not a must win Sunday but going down 2-0 certainly isn't a spot we'd wanna be in. Need everyone to step up, but 86/22/15/61 for me have a lot more to give than they showed G1.

A few thoughts ..... Sarnia came out amazing the first 10 mins..then after that were completely dominated....pasta is a joke and its sad to watch him diving around the ice ... Sarnia has been outworked in round 1 and 2 so im not surprised they got outworked in game 1.... I thought Ben was bad... in my opinion, if Sarnia wants to win he needs to save at least 2 of those goals... the 1 timer on the power play can be stopped and the third one was just bad. Letang having no clue how to handle a end of game situation is mind blowing because it is likely going to happen again. I've had beef with Letang I don't think he's very good. Sarnia's 5-5 play is pretty bad... no sense of urgency and a lot of guys floating around.

Team with size must be scraping for ice in the dirty areas in front of the net. Did not see that from Sarnia last night. I'm sure you will see a different approach on Sunday.
No we won’t. Sarnia is a perimeter team. They refuse to do anything other then cycle the puck to the point but will refuse to shoot from said point. Mind boggling. Such an easy read for the Knights.

I thought he was ok, the second one he probably could have had, first he had no chance on. The third goal was tipped right in front of him by a guy that was left completely alone infront of the net, I 100% blame the defence on that they were nowhere close to the player. Also ben made 3 or 4 really good saves that probably should have been goals. I don’t think he was great by any means but I thought he was ok. I thought the team infront of him was alot more the problem for the loss embarrassing effort.

Ya so predictable, they skate the puck in on the outside and then stop, pass the puck around the perimeter looking for a pretty play until they lose it then the other team skates it back. These players just don’t understand that dirty or garbage goals count the same as highlightvreal goals. Shoot the puck once it gets on your stick and and get a guy in front of that damn goalie for a screen, tip, rebounds. when the defence get the puck at the blueline they need to fire it, they handle it until a london guy gets out to them and closes off the shooting lane just another thing they do in slow motion.

Exactly! Why is a guy like Filak on the 1st line if his job isn’t to crowd the front of the net and cause havoc for Brochu? He certainly isn’t a goal scorer. Same goes for Sikic. Hard work beats skill 9/10 and London is the superior team when it comes to putting the work boots on and getting down and dirty to do whatever it takes to win.

I agree.... the team in front of him was awful... he was ok but we may need him to steal a game here if we wanna have any chance at winning.

Can’t really steal a game if the team in front of you only scores 1 goal. Last night wasn’t on Ben whatsoever imo. It was the lacklustre effort by our forward group for me. Slowly losing respect for Pastujov and his little childish antics. Have some self respect man…holy. Embarrassing flopping around in front of 9036 people.

lol for the record I didnt mean it was Bens fault I just said he wasn't all that good imo.... he makes really good saves then lets in these questionable goals that completely overshadow the great save he makes prior.... Pastujov is an embarrassment, the London bench was giving it to him.. the refs know too. Sarnia is a much older team than London but you would think it was the opposite. Letang and the coaching staff need to get it together too... its very well apparent that London scouted much better than Sarnia...

I feel like Letang and staff just said let’s just keep playing our game because we are winning. When even after those wins in the first two series. He should have demanded a lot more out of the guys. Might have brought in too much skill. Del bel is soft as baby shit, pastujov is a diver, Voit is tiny and can’t drive through guys or skate around guys. These players are in willing to try and cut into the centre of the ice to try and get a shot in opposing teams zone. Can’t just try and skate up the boards everytime , makes it very easy for London knowing you are going to do that everytime. Letang and staff have their work cut out for them.

im sure its been talked about but Letang not pulling the goalie till like 50 seconds left Is all time bone-head coaching. Especially after seeing Saginaw pulling the goalie on them with like 5 minutes left and it working... he looked confused on the bench like he didnt know how much time was left or something.... baffling.

Alright let's not lose our mind over 1 game. They know how to score. They scored a ton of goals from right in front vs GUE who made them earn it.

Had to score dirty goals to beat Lennox. For whatever reason it just wasn't there last night after the 1st period until about 6 minutes left in the 3rd.

I didn't think Ben looked sharp either. Saved by a couple posts, iffy 2nd goal, but he battled thru it & gave them a chance.

I don't even wanna get into the Pastujov stuff, but Sim speared him in the nuts. I think we all know that isn't a blow that you barely feel or react too lol. The cross check whatever. Should've called both which is what they always do.

I did think that was a poorly coached game by Letang. Though 61 turned it over I blame him for throwing our 4th line on the ice off an icing in the OZ on LDNs 1st goal which flipped the game. Didn't pull the goalie late on a pp.

The goal is to get a split & they can do that tomorrow.

Filak went off holding his shoulder (same one he hurt before playoffs) midway thru the 3rd. Can't remember if he had another shift.

Wasn't having a great game to that point, but hopefully he isn't hurt. Really wanna have his jam & tenacity in this series.

I honestly thought the game as a whole was pretty weird. Idk if I was the only one who felt like this, but I expected a lot more emotion, physicality, tension. It certainly didn't feel like this massive game for long stretches to me anyways. It's why it was frustrating to lose cause i didn't think LDN looked all that good either. They just didn't stop playing at any point. Imagine tomorrow it goes up a level, or two.
