That was never going to happen. The idea that Martin was ever available is pretty ludicrous to be honest.

Beck was always the better fit in Saginaw due to his defense. The Soo has a really similar player in Allard, but they need a high scoring winger like Hayes.

If that’s his choice, More power to him. Gets him to playing pros (AHL after Pete’s are eliminated) sooner I guess.

Petes need some return on him if he will only waive to certain places maybe only eastern teams then someone might get a good discount on him can’t see the Petes holding onto him at all unless he just refuses to go anywhere

People need to calm it down a bit. I am surprised they didn’t clear the teams he’d be willing to go to with him. But this doesn’t mean he refuses to go to Saginaw. It only means he is not ready to agree to. There is a difference.

The Petes are not going to give him away. If they cannot get a good young player and at least two, 2nds and one 3rd they may just decide to keep him. They are are not going trade him for a fringe player and a 2nd and 3rd.
