I’m not shocked by that but I really thought Saginaw would make a series of super savvy moves. I was wrong.

i thought that they would be prioritizing a d more then anything, thats the biggest need imo. gou and bishop are not ohl championship defenders.

pony up Brady Martin and Becks a hound. soo will probably get gavin hayes now

i dont know if they will, flint will just ask for martin too.

Bishop is fine as a bottom pair guy. They'll still go out and get a defenseman to slot in the top 4.

Mayer could be coming with him. A lot of trade possibilities had the two together. Just depends on the Saginaw OA configuration. Hell, McCoy could be a part of it. I’m curious to see if it is a bigger deal.

i would disagree. i guess they can get mayer in that beck trade, but who else can they get as a 5 thats out there?

I'd guess they slot Forgione in as the 5

hache - bishop
gou - glavin

add in dionicio and delete glavin, bishop is the 5.

bishop would have been 8 on peterborough last year.

They'd still add a defenseman. Forgione and Bishop would be the bottom pair. I really don't care where Bishop would have landed on the Pete's depth chart last year. Can he survive 10 minutes a night? Sure. Then he's alright by me.

(i'm exaggerating the minutes, point being most of the load is going to get carried by the top 4.)

That was never going to happen. The idea that Martin was ever available is pretty ludicrous to be honest.

Beck was always the better fit in Saginaw due to his defense. The Soo has a really similar player in Allard, but they need a high scoring winger like Hayes.

No way will we be buying. I think the play is either stand pat(I wouldn’t be a huge fan of) or slight retool like trading ludwinski for instance and maybe upgrading the OA F

saginaw traded bloom to north bay last year. I think there is conditionals in that trade and I believe that’s what he is talking about. Bloom would not be a free agent as north bay still owns his rights, has cards and he is of age to play here in ohl
