I would bid on one if I was in Saginaw.

Again, you are insinuating that this is not a good thing. Very odd to tap dance around how you really feel.
I can tap dance with the best of them, and have every right to my opinion. You, on the other hand, want me to embrace a political / social stance that I do not wish to agree with. That is your choice and that is my right to refute it. I will not be cowed by you and your attempt to make this into some sort of right / wrong issue. .

Enjoy the game tonight, maybe Denny can give a detailed synopsis of the warm up jerseys on the radio pregame show...

As society changes so do we and we all have our own views. People who support the Jersey might want to contribute and others not so much. No right or wrong our opinions are insignificant to the bottom line of making awareness, money towards the cause.

No, and I am not against national anthems... so what is your point, or can you not tell the difference between hororing a particular group and being forced to accept another's lifestyle that you find against your beliefs.

I have every right to my beliefs, they are mine... not yours. Until the day that you can walk in and take them away...

I believe that Bobby Orr was the best hockey player I have ever seen, not Wayne Gretzky, not Mario Lemieux... those are my beliefs,... mine, and there is nothing you can do to stop me from voicing my opinion if I feel justified in stating it. I have no idea why you wandered in here...bored?

I never said you didn't have a right to your beliefs. However it's hypocritical to say "it's a hockey game" then turn around and say it's OK for other causes you support.

To tell you the truth Otto,I would prefer none of it, but how do you get around the national anthems? I grew up in Boston in the 60's -70's and a Bruins game was in a smoke filled Garden and the only music was John Kiley on the organ before game and between periods... never at play stoppages. There was no political statements made, maybe an honor guard for the anthem. Later Rene Rancourt used to perform great renditions of the US and Canada anthems.

I go to a Spirit game today and I am lost. Theatrics and music non-stop. Between the period games and nonsense, blaring music at puck stoppages.

I am old, set in my ways and long for the past. I know its a new world but miss the past. No hard feelings.

Won’t gum up the thread anymore after this but,

They’re aren’t two valid opinions here. It’s not a discussion about whether you like creamy or chunky peanut butter. People have this weird idea that we need to play nice with bigots. I’m not trying to force you to change your mind. I would never do that. I just like my homophobes out in the open. Maybe just stay home from now on, watch old Bobby Orr clips and mumble to yourself how everything sucks now. I’m sure it’ll be a very rewarding experience.

Nice to include bigot and homophobe in one post, but you left out nazi, misogynist, racist and animal abuser. Thanks for the liberal buzzwords.

For someone so proud of thier beliefs you sure like to deflect when you are called out on them. Slavery was once an accepted view point as well, and society left those people behind. Times are changing. You dont have to, but dont be surprised when you get called out on your behavior.

I think we can discuss this issue without resorting to personal attacks. After all, Pride is mostly about respecting our fellow human beings, and treating everyone as an equal regardless of our differences.

I believe it's important for organizations to run events like this to support the community. It's also important to allow individuals the choice to participate or not. Here is a great take on the Ivan Provorov controversy earlier this month.

You want me to embrace a political / social stance that I do not wish to agree with. You, on the other hand choose to advocate it. Because I don't, I am labeled. Love the quantum leap from not desiring a Saginaw Spirit pride jersey to slavery. Congratulations gentlemen for proving your point.

Plenty to not like here about a particular someones opinion. One could simply ignore that persons post and get back to hockey says this former Flint fan, and new Saginaw fan. I should have done that more when I was on their forum.

Solid comeback last night. Could have easily laid down after going down 3-1. Good to finally get the money off our back. Rivalry win to get the guys going. Still going to be a tough end to the week with London and Ottawa. Let’s get a point somewhere here and get some momentum back.

Long 8 games but nice to see them win. Looked like losing Minty and not playing well made them lose some confidence. Losing is like winning you go on highs for a period of time and ride it out same with losing you get used to it. Lets hope they play hard and smart and turn it around.

Great to see Saginaw back in track. Particularly with a win over Flint!

I know its not the 90s anymore but a 03 taking a run at an 07 and not getting retaliation strikes me as Saginaw's fatal flaw. Misa getting kneed should have lead to an absolute yard sale.
We commented on this during the game... Why isn't anyone going after McCue? More importantly, I hope Misa is not out long... terrible thing to see. Could you guys give us an injury update?

Someone posted on the Spirit Fan facebook page a picture with Misa after the game and he told them he was "fine" and gave them a thumbs up. Who knows for certain though.

Saginaw recently has never been an overly physical team, but always had a Riley Webb type who could go if he had to. Saginaw is missing that real strong presence this season and will need to address before a run next season even though guys like Mancini, Forgione, Moore, and even Smith can all throw them in a pinch. I almost wonder if saginaw isna bit thin due to injury and didnt want to risk any suspensions during an already down patch. Especially if Misa is indeed alright. Next LDN-SAG game could have some fireworks though if he isnt

I was surprised #18 Moore didn't go after McCue. They had something going before the Misa hit, and then after the hit they were really chirping at each other. Then to start the 3rd, they both yelled at each other on the benches and seemed to agree on something. So I thought a scrap was imminent, but they both got on the ice at the same time and nothing happened the rest of the game. I would agree though, be interesting to see if anything happens next meeting if Misa is hurt, certainly hope he is not. Hate to see an injury for anyone, let alone a young star.
