I have noticed coach Lazary does not communicate at all with his assistants during the game. Why is this? The assistants stand there and look uncomfortable.

HUGE win last night. Put us 6 pts clear of Guelph with a game in hand. Also puts us back into 4th for now. Have Owen Sound next. Possible playoff preview.

Ideal outcomes for this afternoon:

1) We get a W
2) Guelph beats OS (regulation). We still keep a 6 pt lead on the Storm while OS falls 6 back with 2 games in hand.
3) Flint beats Sarnia (regulation). Tie for 3rd although Sarnia has a game in hand.

3 out of 3 ain't good.
There’s no way to expect points in the games vs NB or Sarnia. Not even concerned about those. They lost the one winnable game this weekend. Not ideal but still in 4 and a very good chance to stay in the 4/5 match up. Thursday and Saturday are gonna be tough again. Wouldn’t expect points vs Petes or Ottawa. But then the schedule opens up again for a favorable last set of games including head to head games vs OS and Guelph. Saginaw still controls their own destiny.

3 out of 3 ain't good.

How many times does it need to be stated that win/losses are the least of the teams concerns this season. Saginaw sold at the deadline, all 3 teams we played bought. The purpose this year is to develop young talent for a run next year and get the players who wont be returning opportunities for next year.

Well their young talent at this point are playing less than inspired hockey. Lackadaisical, uninspired hockey, waltzing around, getting beaten to the puck... never hitting anything. There is a great post on the Spirit talk forum from a well known member on this very subject. Why don't you go take a look at his opinion.

I guess when you mortgaged the entire future to be a 4 seed, go start stuff with a fan base that sold big and will probably be running over you the next 2-3 years if not this week.

ya no intention to start stuff, just trying to talk about this week's game and meet some new people along the way

Islander fan here, I see Lennox was signed. What's his game like?
He’s fought injuries his entire career. He’s hasn’t ever had a chance to get into a groove. This was his first season where he hasn’t missed significant time. If he can stay healthy, he can certainly be a work horse type goalie. Don’t know about his NHL chances but could definitely carve out a good AHL career with a call up or two.
