Taping crying kids, very disturbing parental trend. Gotta love that sadism, huh?

I agree with you, and now feel hypocritical for not only watching the video, but sharing it. I also posted the one about the young Rangers fan crying over Gaborik.

For shame.

For karmic payback, my ex should have recorded me blackout drunk and simultaneously crying and puking all over myself after the Caps eliminated the Rangers in 2011

Fun day... I hope I apologized sufficiently to her for that, I think I did.

Not as sad as the 2006ish-or-whatever year when the Rangers got bumped by the Devils.

2011 was the only year I had readily available alcohol when the Rangers were bumped from the playoffs, a mistake I'll never make again

I don't want to derail the thread too much, but surely nothing hurt harder than the Sabres series in '07. **** you, Drury.

Anyways, I like what I've seen from Clowe so far. I'd be open to resigning him for the right contract, and you better believe that's NOT an 8 year deal!

Four years, $16mm has me thinking long and hard if I'm Sather. Don't know if that's something Clowe goes for though.

I'm scared of Clowe's upcoming contract. What we give him now won't be worth it in two years, and he's not signing a 2 year deal.

.

As someone who has been watching the Rangers for over 20 years, and has been able to legally drink alcohol for about 10, I suggest upping the dosage with this team.

I was hungover for almost the entire Memorial Day weekend of 2012 after the game 6 loss to the Devils.

My favorite aspect of Clowe's game so far is his decision making with the puck on the half boards. Its increased the production of the PP tenfold and is really a skill that many of the players on this roster lack. He's really a much 'smarter' player than I had originally believed.

anybody else think Clowe - Richards - Gaborik could have been a great line?

asuming Richie and Gabby played to their typical levels

I think as far as offense goes the guy is done.... even at 30 years old it looks like he has a lot of miles on him.

I was impressed when he fought Fraser on Toronto because it seemed to give the rangers a little spirit, but besides that I really haven't been impressed so far

The next year was even worse when we got bounced by the Pens. I remember buying a 24 pack before the start of game one but I didn't plan on drinking. The Rangers scored a few in the second to go up 3-0 and I decided I'd drink a little bit. I proceeded to drink all 24 beers over the course of the next 1 1/2 hours. I've never drank like that. The Rangers lost the series, the Jagr era ended, and Sean Avery ended up in the hospital.

As far as Clowe goes, we might be pot committed after the trade.

Really? A 20 goal, 60 point PWF who is a playmaker and can fight anyone in the league and hold his own is not worth $4 million? But Dubinsky is?

The Dubinsky is not a comparable situation:

1) The Rangers were buying out years of UFA.

2) The expectation was that he would continue to improve.

3) Dubinsky was in his mid-20s.

Regardless, its a contract that if the Blue Jackets could get out of, I'm sure they would.

I don't think the player you just described is the one that is the topic of this thread...

Rangers have to be careful when it comes to re-signing Clowe. His offense has steadily declined since his career year in 2010-11. I like what he brings to the locker room but his lack of speed is a bit concerning, especially considering the Rangers aren't the most mobile team as it is. A multi-year deal with a cap hit of of around $4 million could very well end up being a bad contract if he doesn't bounce back offensively.
