He looks exactly the same. And I mean exactly.
Except he doesn't. Or at least his pairing doesn't because he has a d partner he can pass the puck to that won't just give it away.

Will not stop beating this drum.
McDonagh is having a quietly wonderful season
Quietly having a great season. Too bad he has an anchor attached to him.
McDonagh our best player, nothing against Hank.
Indeed - almost every thing he does well he does quietly.
I still say there's a 15 goal, 50 point season in him.
McDonagh our best player, nothing against Hank.
McDonagh's been consistent all season, was also consistent all of 2013-14. Last season I think injuries and the captaincy slowed him down, but he's rebounded very nicely. Hank's been so up and down this season, there's less certainty with his play for me than McDonagh's.
McDonagh our best player, nothing against Hank.
Couldn't disagree more.
I have to wonder if you say **** like this because you actually believe it, or you're just trying too hard to be contrarian for the sake of argument.
I'd love to hear the reasoning behind this nonsense.

I think even the people who didn't want Lundqvist when his contract was extended still thought he was our most important player even if they thought we should move the King to make room for our version of Kane and Toews.
Hank's also older than he was at that time
Damn this entropic universe...
Anyway, so?
He was scary good tonight.
I feel like with the job he did on Ovechkin, the two assists were just because he's a nice guy.
Quietly putting together some season.
15 points in 25 games to reach his career-high
