Really though.

So a week ago he was "too tired" and "too ill" to play or even be with the team, and now he's expected to be ok to play tomorrow?

And it wasn't just a 36 hr flu or a bad runny nose, they would have just told us.

Did he take a long nap, get a glass of warm milk, a long hug and pat on the back and now he's good to go?

I mean can you guys imagine hearing that Dubi was gonna miss a few games because he's too tired or doesn't have enough energy?!?! And this guys a 7-8-9 million dollar a year player?

Come ON!!

Actually unexplained fatigue is relatively common. Only those ignorant of the multiple different types of medical conditions that could cause it tend to say "You're faking it." If you're interested you might try looking up, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Lyme Disease.

I'm gonna wait until Friday to see if we hear anymore, but none of those diseases you listed sound like something I want to build my franchise around.

Odd. Johansen is coming off a very long active streak. Wonder why someone keeps beating this up? It went from mildly entertaining to just sad.

I don't know what was up with Johansen. Don't really care. I just hope he's healthy soon, stays that way, and plays like we know he can.

Seriously though, why does this board suddenly have a Rush Limbaugh-type figure? Things weren't this weird before.

I'd have said Art Bell myself; we're only one step away from mind probing and magnetic gravity fields and nude conspiracies.

Man this is getting weird....

Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said he'll watch Johansen closely tonight.
"I don't have any expectations. I'm going to play 'em," Tortorella said. "I'm a little concerned, judging from yesterday's practice, just the time off, just a little bit of a struggle he's had as far as his energy. I'm going to monitor that very closely during the game.

"He struggled through the practice yesterday. Hopefully he'll feel better (today) after getting a practice under his belt. We'll see how it goes as the game goes on."
Johansen seemed surprised to hear that Thursday's practice was a "struggle."
"I didn't think practice was that tough," Johansen said. "No, I felt pretty good.

Also, the out of shape rumor confirmed.....

Johansen also confirmed a report from the New York Post's Larry Brooks, via Twitter, that Tortorella told Johansen he was "not in shape" during the first intermission of Tortorella's first game behind the bench, Oct. 22 in Minnesota.
"That was something that was said in the room," Johansen said. "That's something that shouldn't leave the room. You always hear (about) those codes from teams and players around the league: what's said in the room is said in there, and that's between us. Whatever me and coach talk about is between me and him."
Asked how the Tortorella-Johansen conversation was leaked, Johansen said: "I have no idea."
Johansen declined to say what the Blue Jackets' medical staff found as the root cause of his fatigue. But he again insisted that now, after almost one week away from the club, he's 100 percent.

I refrained from commenting about Joey's illness. But, it's getting harder to resist reading between the lines when you read the disconnect between Torts and Joey's quotes in the last puckrakers article (quoted above). If it was something temporary like the flu or a head cold, one would think the details would be released.

Switching gears, who is giving info to Brooks? Hopefully not Dubi.
