RW Yegor Chinakhov (2020, 21st, CBJ)

LOL How about just having a grown up reaction to a success on a pretty low level? Yeah, every success is better than a failure, but some people start claiming Chinakhov is a NHLer already. That's just not realistic.
Some people have to piss in the cereal just to feel smart.
Nobody said he's going to win the Rocket.
There's literally no reason to come in the thread and spew negativity.

Pretty good shot........

You should stop caring this much about what other people post on HFBoards. It doesn't matter. It's someone's opinion.
So we basically just should leave HFBioards, because it all does not matter, it is just a board for someone's opinions?

This is so modern:laugh:

You start with an attempt of a personal attack, then proceed with an attempt to fake out my argument by ridiculously exagerrating it(Rocket? we were talking about being a NHLer at all. I can use this kind of argument of yours in every thread there is. "No one was claiming McDavid is going to score 500 points in a season") and round it up by fighting the "negativity".

So basically never have a different opinion, always run with the crowd, because if you don't you just spread negativity.

I think it was just an example… You’re taking the rocket thing a little too seriously. He just means that just because some people are excited about his play, it doesn’t mean they are proclaiming him to win multiple rockets.

Agreed, it’s just a rookie tournament. But it’s still pretty impressive, you shouldn’t get a knock against you for doing well. The player has done his job, and like you said- let’s wait for the real deal now.

I think the negativity can wrongfully stem from “oh it’s just a rookie tournament”, “oh it’s just the development camp”, “oh it’s only the pre season”, “oh it’s only the regular season”, “oh it was only the first round”. There’s nothing wrong with praising a player’s play at any level, and if someone believes from his performance he’s NHL ready that’s their opinion. And your opinion that it’s an overreaction is yours. So don’t agree with that guys negativity point.

I've never said anything bad about his achievements, that's the point. And people accuse me of whatever, that I never did. I am just for not getting expectations too high before the real test.

How about you people rather enjoy one of my Top2 russian hockey YouTubers right now. Former player obiviously who could not continue his hockey career. He enjoys a lot of trust among players as a player himself. Basiacally everybody with a name in hockey(players so far) talk to him. He happened to upload a vid with Chinakhov today.

New feature. Chinakhov vs. Kostin

omg your not so bright. The vezina is for best defenceman. He is a forward.
My god. I saw couple of decent performances in some meaningless prospects games, and he scored so many goals I see no reason to think he can't change position to play 1D role in NHL already. Why some of you always have to be so negative? :shakehead

I remember when Patrik Berglund was the star of these tournaments and was slated to be a #1C after his performance.

that shot alone is lethal, and he was a pretty good player in the KHL too. If you did peep the Omsk run, you did see what he was capable of alongside Kostin. I think they're both gonna be decent if not good NHL players. You can argue it's still pre-season but he did score against a solid NHL goalie (yes i said jarry is solid, fight me)

Officially made the CBJ to start the season. Likely starting on the fourth line with Robinson and Kuraly with PP time potentially.

It aged well for how may Babayev clients exactly?:sarcasm:

Now I see where you are going with this.

For all we know Yegor will be back with Columbus next game. And do we know that he would view playing in Cleveland as a step down from Omsk? Probably similar quality of play, no worse of a city, and one is a lot closer to Yegor's dream of playing in the NHL.

1.I was referring to a big mouth statement by his agent who is becoming a meme in Russia for claiming his clients are going to play in the NHL ASAP and none of them did make it so far.

2.I don't care how he himself assesses the AHL vs. KHL. If he indeed thinks the AHL is not a stepdown from the KHL, he is just mistaken to put it mildly.

3.That failure to see the obvious though might be influenced by Babayev and his wild tales to get his players to NA as soon as possible. Lies basically. So that is also something I was referring to. Players and their parents should stay away from this man and not listen to whtever promises he makes.

4.It was pretty obvious to me that Chinakhov is going to spend most of the season in the AHL, no matter what Babayev might be telling the press and his client. I am not surprised.

5.First of all it's not Omsk, but Balashikha for now. And if at this crucial age you take a nice city over future career it is dumb too. So that shouldn't be a factor.

6.AHL is not closer to the dream of playing in the NHL in anything but physical distance. That's instant gratification thinking. Sometimes you have to be patient and work towards a long term goal. The KHL was a much better option for long term success, but I suppose the agent's talk played a big part in that too as the agent obviously poisoned the relationship with the KHL team as evidenced by some recent interviews.

That really depends on how good the player is! We'll have to see when he gets his NHL games in, but I'm thinking Yegor is close to making it full time. If not now then probably later this season or next Fall.

It does depend on how good the player is. Chinakhov is far from being NHL ready. Having a great shot does not make you a NHL player. And if it is next fall, then he will have lost a full season of opportunity to develop in the KHL.
