Columbus still has to worry about retaining such talent mind you. I love their drafting as of late but they must keep them. Also they lack a pure center, which i kinda hate that they didn't address this draft aside from taking Johnston

The Jackets don't have any major UFA's coming up to worry about. All of the core pieces have been locked up long term (Werenski, Bjorkstrand, Elvis) or are on ELC's. This is going to be their team for a while.

I think Sillinger works better as a winger but if he can play center then its an even better pick

Oh no, thanks, I've seen him before the most people in this thread. My point is this tournament is a pre-tournament of a pre-tournament. Even the pre-season is mostly not telling. If he ends up in the AHL for 95% of the upcoming season I would not be surprised at all.

And I sicerely wish to see that he's had a body of work offseason and came prepared and can actually crack a NHL lineup.

LOL How about just having a grown up reaction to a success on a pretty low level? Yeah, every success is better than a failure, but some people start claiming Chinakhov is a NHLer already. That's just not realistic.

Not sure why people come to post to crap on fans and specific prospects. Yes it’s early and was just a rookie camp but this kid looks like he has some potential to be a very good player. Hopefully for Jacket fans his skill translates to the NHL. So far he looks like an exciting player. That sucks for me and other Devils fans as it seems like the Jackets always seem to kick our asses and they look like a team that will be good soon .
