This playoff series is a must watch.

It's easy to see how different type of players these 2 are.
 
He still needs to learn to move his feet 5vs5. laine needs to watch tapes on Aho and Puljujarvi how they keep themselves moving because if he doesn't have enough time to do things in FEL he won't survive NHL. But great job on pp and nice celly.

We surely didnt watch the same game because Laine was constantly dangerous today in both 5v5 and pp. Wanted puck and did right things all the time. For example drew penalty agaist Aho with movement.

Laine was easily best player today.

Tappara's 1st line was best again for them.
 
I agree that Laine still needs to improve he's moving and defence play. With these weaknesses improved, he's going to be a world class sniper. In my opinion he has all the tools to become an elite class winger in NHL.

First line did great job shadowing Ahos line but all in all Laine MoM today.

The officials also selected Laine as 1st star and 2 guys from firstline to 2nd and 3rd star.
 
Today Laine showed everybody why he should be picked before Puljujärvi. Laine has so much higher ceiling than Pulju and im kind of surprised people in HFboards doesnt seem to see it. Puljus hockey iq is just average, wrister is average, only thing he got over Laine is skating really and Laine has plenty of time to develop it. Laine is amazing and will be best player from this draft.

And wrister is something Pulju can't work on??

Pulju beats him in skating, D-play and just play without the puck, Laine has better hands, better shot and is more physical right now.

If anything Pulju is more raw of the 2 and has more potential to develop.

So far in these 2 games they've shown they are 50-50.

Laine showed today something we wont see from Pulju for while.

Pulju had off game today while Laine had it yesterday. Jesse was good in Oulu but definetly not dominant like Laine today.

Jesse can have good games and can score pp goals but at the moment he cant dominate the game like Laine can.

Pulju has been outplaying Laine ever since WJC started(being the MVP), he's also been better in the FEL after that has higher ppg in playoffs. All i see is a lot of excuses for Laine here. Pulju has delivered and we are waiting Laine to do the same.
 
Laine wasn't the MVP today, it was either Kuusela, Lajunen or Karhunen.

Laine was clearly better than Pulju today, but it's pretty normal as his team was so much better.

Well i dont know what you have been watching but i have watched every game from Pulju and missed few games from Laine but i can say that Pulju hasnt outplayed Laine. By far Laine is most impressive from these two. Pulju has speed and it helps him alot in a big rink. Laine is just too good at every other aspect of game when it comes to creating offense. Iq, passing, hands, shot, hand-eye co, just basically everything you can think of.

It was actually discussed on this topic or Puljujarvi topic before and the consensus was that Puljujarvi has been better post-WJC. laine seemed very tired and wasn't that good and Puljujarvi was and is just on fire. But it's always nice to have unconventional opinions so i appreciate your feedback.

You cant be serious? Laine has definetly been better after WJC there is not even debate about this. Pulju having 2 ES goals after WJC should tell you that. Also Laines PPG after WJC is much better than Puljus

That definetly is not the consencus on this matter.

Laine had couple off games in a row when regular season was ending. Pulju on the same time was out with knee injury and STILL Laine got better ppg after WJC than Pulju.

If you read the finnish messageboard Kärpät fans think Pulju is better and pretty much everyone else thinks Laine is a level above Pulju.

The vote they had there was pretty much 75% to Laine and 25% to Pulju.

I'm not bothering with this. Your facts and numbers are also wrong here. Just browse back few pages and you should see what we were discussing about it. As always i appreciate your unconventional but entertaining feedback.
 
People really doesnt seem to understand that when Laine is on hes game, he really dominates the game. Pulju can be good at times but he doesnt show anything like Laine. Laine just has so much higher ceiling, im really surprised that some people doesnt see this. Maybe you just havent watched him play enough? Only if he could bring hes A game to every game he would of been best player in liiga this year.
 
Please go to the east and don't fall in the Flames, Oilers, or Jets lap, only the Canucks. Kid is too good and would terrorize any conference he gets drafted to... Absolutely filthy snipe show.
