Does he make good use his size?
Like, is he good on the boards, a big hitter etc. the areas size allows one to excel in.

One game sample:

Uses size pretty good..

Isnt the biggest hitter, but isnt afraid to hit.
 
He plays engaged when he doesn't have the puck, although based on that shift by shift he doesn't look like the zone entry guy on a team.

He's pretty good overall however the Ovechkin comparison seems a little off because Laine is more into the play when he doesn't have the puck on his stick. At the same time Ovechkin has more acceleration and ability to use his hands and shot at high speed.

Patrik Laine is my first choice from the players available in this year's draft. Until now, only individual goals of his were on YouTube.

I've decided to compile all of Laine's goals (and some other plays) from his 2015-16 Liiga campaign into a concise package. Instead of digging for individual goals, we now have all of his goals in this audiovisual presentation. All of the goals are shown chronologically.

Very exciting prospect. Has an incredible amount of skill and has the size to fit right in to the NHL without being bullied - he'll be an effective player for whatever team takes him out of the draft.

If he can adjust his fitness to the 82 game schedule and his skating is on par he will make a significant impact right away.

Oh man that video just shows how incredibly skilled he is. He was absolutely on fire against Ilves, if that becomes the norm for him, look out!

I rather liked the music. In fact, my wife asked me if I am watching porn. I answered honestly, "No, I am watching a highlight video of Laine." She then replied "So you really were watching porn!" :laugh:

This concludes our story time for today.
 
Would he even agree to play for Leafs, now that they have Lou and no hair policy?
 
Insane draft. Havent seen enough of Matthews but when people like Craig Button say that he's by far the best player in the draft, it amazes me considering how good the Finns are.

Shouldn't be too surprising. Matthews is right on par with Eichel. If he was born a few days earlier, Arizona would have gotten him in the draft last year
 
His shot is ridiculous.

Goalies barely react and its already past them.

He's going to be one hell of a winger with that shot alone.
