You mean the sabotaged Olympics? The NHL should be severely punished for this kind of sabotage.

Why exactly?

This is utter nonsense as the NHL isn't going to pay for it's players expenses so the Olympic corrupt crown and IIHF fills their coffers.

Well, then you are the enemy of everything I call hockey and sport for that matter, real fair and international sport, not some money driven private nonsense.

Are you actually implying that the Olympics isn't a money driven event?

For sabotaging international hockey. US and Canada should be banned from ALL IIHF events until the NHL apologises and pays for sabotage already comitted(the best way to do it is to make them release the players without a single Cent going their way for two olympic cycles).

Exactly how did the NHL sabotage international hockey?

This is a ridiculous notion based on what exactly?

You also haven't addressed how corrupt and money driven the Olympics are and that they won't even cover the insurance costs for NHL players.

Perhaps your conspiracy theories would be best presented in another forum as well, not one about a 15 year old kid who has dreams about playing hockey.

Don't know if it's been mentioned here but why is he moving from Loko to SKA St. Petersburg's system next season? Loko has a great track record when it comes to developing young talent, seems like an odd move.

The NHL sabotages international hockez in any waz possible. It disrupts the development of plazers in european leagues through those laughable transfer agreements. But most importantlz it has the NERVE to not let plazers go to the most important international competition. Again, US and Canada should be banned by the IIHF for that. It is really simple. If their league does not respect the sport, they should pay the price.

1.What does corruption around Olympics you have provided no evidence for has to do with the problem discussed except for your whataboutism?

2.Careful. digging into wha happens around Olympics might lead us to the point wehere we realize all those US and Canada medals are worth crap and bought. But again, that IS NOT what we are discussing here. It is about having the best athletes competing at the biggest sports event there is which the NHL is plotting against deliberately to promote it's Disney World Cup instead.

3.Why the puck should the IOC do for the NHL ANYTHING that it is not doing for any other athlete? Here we are. The NHL feels entitled. The true bunch of jerks.

4.Perhaps you should stop using the most dumb "argument" of calling everything you don't like a conspiracy theory. A 15 y.o. kid does play hockey a lot. Why should he "dream" about it?

Saint Petersburg, Russia
Many reasons:
1) The best in Russia hockey infrastructure, personal coaches and ice available every day.
2) That shitty situation when general manager of SKA and of Hockey Russia is the same person, so he can offer some "special conditions".
3) Head Coach of U20 Team Russia is assistant coach in SKA
4) Great city
5) They usually offer job for parents when the situation is about kids (seems that this case is not applicable)
6) money but in the future

Besides hockey and money, pretty much every kid in Russia wouldn't mind to spend his youth in Saint-Petersburg. The most romantic city.

Climate is bitch though... And I doubt every kid would want St.Petersburg over say Moscow at least. At that age they want the loudest partys and craziest entertainment. Moscow easily beats SPb there.

1.Kazan and Yaroslavl are on par with that.
2.That's speculative. And I hate Rotenberg Jr.'s contribution to our hockey.
3.Rumor has it he might soon be SKA's and senior NT's headcoach.

Officially traded to SKA for around USD 50K.

As a neutral fan it's a pivotal move.

The most competitive tournamenyt is the Olympics. The NHL is a foreign league and the cup of it is a foreign trophy. And this is also the league hurting that tournament with it's greed and egoism droven allures. And this is also the league hurting development of hockey in his own country.

Michkov's mistake is not being able to think further than his nose. That qualifies him as dumb. Other than that he makes no mistakes.

I will continue waiting for the first russian player to emerge. His emergence will mark the rebirth of russian hockey. Until then we will obviously have some more generations of Michkovs with those short-sighted, petty "dreams".

It's not about KHL, it's not about leagues, it's about proper priorities.

You’re still going on about this? Hasn’t Svechnikov shut you up about the CHL sabotaging Russian players?

Honestly it's going to take more than just Svechnikov, and even Svech to prove himself in the league for longer for anyone to consider him one of the success stories.

Svechnikov is far behind expectations. If anything he is proving my point. Remearkable again, how you are clinging to a single case. It's you who are going on about this denying facts, just because... what? Russia is baaad? NA is goood? Whatever... The CHL has produced(really produced) maybe 1-2 russian players who by their talent level were just can't-fail-cases. It destroyed the development of tens if not hundreds by now. I bet when you play roulette you think you are the one guy who is going to win big...

Lol, he's right up there, nobody expected him being the next Ovechkin, more like Kovalchuk/Tarasenko, and he's not far behind the expectation, if behind at all.

Man don't you ever get tired of this conspiracy theory here?

Some prospects just don't pan out as expected, heck most of them don't.

As for Svechnikov he is doing fine.

PPG was at least expected. Has he reached that? oFor all the lacrosse goals on Earth, they are not what I need to see from him. And please don't tell me what to expect from plazers I watched here in Kazan since they were 15-16. You are the one here getting his expectations adjusted by the NA view wchich is flawed, just because they don't know the players until they arrive in NA.

Andrei scored on the same pace as Kovy in the same 2nd season at the same age, nobody expected him being better, than Ilya... well, save you, probably...
