I mean their defense has been okay with only 1 goal allowed in 5 periodsMichkov has been bad the past few games for sure, whole team is brutal though.
This type of speed isn’t as important as the short burst that gain space.Tampa Bay Lightning F Nikita Kucherov Beats Dylan Larkin’s Fastest Skater Record (Video)
He may not have come home with top honors, Tampa Bay Lightning F Nikita Kucherov wasted no time breaking records at the NHL All-Star Skills Competition.boltsbythebay.com
Larkin: 13.172 secs
Kucherov: 13.160 secs
McDavid (winner): 13.020 secs
Fatigue? The kid is 19, almost 20.He has been crap the last 2-3 games. Maybe fatigue, maybe a slump, but michkov has not been good the past 2 games.
A healthy scratch could be in play next game.
Younger players don't have the same levels of strength and conditioning as guys in their prime - its not uncommon for them to get worn out during the NHL schedule.Fatigue? The kid is 19, almost 20.
Usually not at the 10 game markYounger players don't have the same levels of strength and conditioning as guys in their prime - its not uncommon for them to get worn out during the NHL schedule.
Doesn't help he's playing with another Sochi team that plays a conservative defensive game.Michkov has been bad the past few games for sure, whole team is brutal though.
Maybe a little different than using your best forward as the extra and giving them 2 minutes
When Demidov took a minor in a game and Rotenber benched him, and Demidov then started to play 5-6 min/game. It looks like Rotenberg and Torts understand the game the same way...
Demidov looks much more impactful on ice than Michkov. I can agree with benching Michkov but not Demidov. When Demidov took a minor in a game and Rotenber benched him, and Demidov then started to play 5-6 min/game. It looks like Rotenberg and Torts understand the game the same way...

They speak about his poor play at 5 vs 5 but it's the flyers pp that is truly horrendous
and now he's benched and trots speaks about sitting him out.You didn't say this just a week ago when Michkov had 9 points in 8 games...
He has nothing to learn in the KHL , and you can get your AHL jabs in but the KHL is not that serious of a league like it thinks itself. He should be playing in the khl right now. The nhl is a bit too much for him, torts has no patience to coach him, the whole team is horrendous and the ahl is just a dumb meat grinder. Don't understand why he was so dead set on playing in the nhl this year.
Can't agree with that. Kaprizov is a perfect example that there is a lot to learn in the khl. Leaving Russia for the sake of leaving Russia is a mistake. You need to focus on your development and what is right for you now. Michkov made a disservice to himself with his decision to leave the KHL and play for the crap flyers under Torts this year.He has nothing to learn in the KHL , and you can get your AHL jabs in but the KHL is not that serious of a league like it thinks itself.
Super competitive kid who's dream is to play hockey in the best league in the world against the best players and you're asking why he's dead set on leaving russia for NA lol
Yeah maybe I went overboard with nothing to learn , but I think he will learn more playing in the top 6 of a NHL team , of course if Torts goes nuts and starts benching the kid really really hard you might have a point but until it gets to that point I can't agree with you that he should have stayed overseasCan't agree with that. You really need to chill out, he’s likely to win rookie of the month and you are telling he needs to go back to RussiaHe should be playing in the khl right now. For a 19 year old coming from a vastly different culture who has neither elite size, elite shot or elite skating I'd say he doing pretty well. You can tell he thinks the game offensively so very well........he will be a 100 point guy in the future once he gets it all figured out and has better personnel around him on the team.Minor speed bump at the start of a great NHL career is my takeaway. I don't even think Torts was hard on him. The whole situation all seems totally normal and reasonable to me.
NHL is a very hard league to get to and even harder to stay in.
Don't think it's realistic now. I simply pointed out that it was a mistake to leave the KHL so early. You really need to chill out, he’s likely to win rookie of the month and you are telling he needs to go back to Russia
