When Demidov took a minor in a game and Rotenber benched him, and Demidov then started to play 5-6 min/game. It looks like Rotenberg and Torts understand the game the same way...
Demidov looks much more impactful on ice than Michkov. I can agree with benching Michkov but not Demidov.
They speak about his poor play at 5 vs 5 but it's the flyers pp that is truly horrendous

Fatigue is possible but I wouldn't just put it out there like that , he's also allowed to have a few stinkers its ok. Its also OK for Torts to bounce him around the lineup , his usage has been favorable up to this point , not a big deal

You didn't say this just a week ago when Michkov had 9 points in 8 games...

He should be playing in the khl right now. The nhl is a bit too much for him, torts has no patience to coach him, the whole team is horrendous and the ahl is just a dumb meat grinder. Don't understand why he was so dead set on playing in the nhl this year.

He has nothing to learn in the KHL , and you can get your AHL jabs in but the KHL is not that serious of a league like it thinks itself.

Super competitive kid who's dream is to play hockey in the best league in the world against the best players and you're asking why he's dead set on leaving russia for NA lol

Can't agree with that. Kaprizov is a perfect example that there is a lot to learn in the khl. Leaving Russia for the sake of leaving Russia is a mistake. You need to focus on your development and what is right for you now. Michkov made a disservice to himself with his decision to leave the KHL and play for the crap flyers under Torts this year.

Yeah maybe I went overboard with nothing to learn , but I think he will learn more playing in the top 6 of a NHL team , of course if Torts goes nuts and starts benching the kid really really hard you might have a point but until it gets to that point I can't agree with you that he should have stayed overseas

Jesus, he'll be fine, I was at the game, he had couple looks, one was a very nice shot on delayed PP but he shot it just a hair above the bar, and then another good shot, but Binnington had a good glove save on that one. Both 2 games were the games whith not much going on, he also created a nice open look in the slot for Couturier but dude fanned on the shot. I wouldn't say he played any different than previous games. Just overall the whole team generated much less in last two games.

You really need to chill out, he’s likely to win rookie of the month and you are telling he needs to go back to Russia

Minor speed bump at the start of a great NHL career is my takeaway. I don't even think Torts was hard on him. The whole situation all seems totally normal and reasonable to me.

NHL is a very hard league to get to and even harder to stay in.
For a 19 year old coming from a vastly different culture who has neither elite size, elite shot or elite skating I'd say he doing pretty well. You can tell he thinks the game offensively so very well........he will be a 100 point guy in the future once he gets it all figured out and has better personnel around him on the team.

Some people misjudged him in thinking he would light up this league in his rookie season, he's not Ovechkin,Malkin,Crosby, Mcdavid or that level of player where he can come into the league on a stinker team and still be a top star in his first season.

Welcome to the NHL rookie.

Don't think it's realistic now. I simply pointed out that it was a mistake to leave the KHL so early.
And thank you for your advice, at least you are not lecturing me from Columbus on how to love the president this time. That's a step in the right direction.
