Is that weight right?

It's old. This kid can't be 148.

I've seen him listed between 159 and 172 so who knows. But he is not 148 it would appear.

The photo is taken at a weird angle. From the waiste down they look almost the same height.
No, the lower body isn't close. The waist on Ovechkin is much higher. He's just wearing a longer shirt. From the knees down, yes, but the thigh area is really short.

Weird observation. But yeah, biomechaniclly some people have long femurs and some have short femurs in proportion to their total leg length. It comes into play in things like squat technique, but I wouldn’t say hockey

A long video interview and a vlog about Michkov (shot shortly before passing of his father), but you can gauge how big or small he looks.

Obviously he looks huge compared to the tiny interviewer girl but you can easily tell he ain’t 148 lbs

Based on the above interview, Michkov says he was contacted by multiple teams, but he had most interesting interviews with Chicago, Anaheim and Florida.(lol)

Says he likes Chicago as a hockey city and a team.

The interview was done prior to the lottery, likely no Chicago for him :)

He says scouts were asking him some random questions like his height/weight/handedness, height of his parents and siblings.

Says he watched Bedard highlights, sees him as a great player.

The way he answers questions about the draft position, it’s obvious he cares where he gets picked, but he accepted the fact it’s no longer based only on his hockey skills

Oh, no. I'm not saying it's going to come into any play at all. I was just stating that, no, from the waist down they're not the same height. As a different poster stated.

doesn't seem like a diva like some paint him to be

He can get a little bit frustrated with underperforming teammates, but he's not an entitled diva. He also has the personality of drying paint.

No combine. What about interviews? Will he be in Nashville early enough for the top 7 or so teams to interview him?

Tough player to evaluate and pick high without much information. Everything is reputation and mysterious. Classic Russian.

Still believe Sharks take Smith and Matvie falls to Habs who will have a critical decision between him or Leonard, who may be a better fit, if they want that physical presence. Personally, I’d take MM and run. He could be the second coming of Bure excitement level in Montreal on that stage.

Starting to think if the Sharks pass on him a 4 that he will either end up with Philly, Washington, or Detroit at 7, 8, or 9.

If the Flyers don't have the cajones, I can see Detroit using the 17th pick to trade up from 9 to 7 to draft him over Washington. Going to be interesting.

Nikolishin harshly criticized him recently. "Such disrespect to others i have never seen in my life."
Nikolishin has a good reputation, he is unlikely to lie. On the other hand, he is a scout for Washington (a tricky move so that Michkov falls to Caps).

Among russian fans too.
As i understand he wanted to meet Michkov as a scout and has messages from him that paint Michkov in very negative light.
