Dumais has his issues but calling him a 100 foot player to me is just flat out crazy. That isn't him...at all. Sounds more to me someone trying to confirm a pre formed opinion then going in with an open mind honestly.

Well my eyes don't lie. I saw him play last year and again...live...this year. I watch him directly so i do not lose him in the camera shot. He sticks around the red line and waits. Sure he gets his points. He does well on the PP because he has good vision and is a good passer. As soon as other get on him in traffic, he is overwhelmed. Don't take my word for it watch him play. How can i have a pre-conceived notion when my notion was formed on the basis of watching him.

this is the perfect tweet to take a screenshot of and re-post it in 3 years, looking back and laughing on it. thanks for the material.
We will see whose post ages better in 3 years. Maybe he is like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde when i am in the arena.

I mean I have lol likely a lot more then you have. Your assessment of his game is just completely off base in my opinion. He scores a lot of his points in traffic and in and around the net, there is no lack of willingness to go into the hard areas of the ice or battle for a puck along the boards. He absolutely doesn't camp at the red line. The questions in his game to me are more so derived from whether he physically will be capable of getting to the dangerous areas at the pro level....not his willingness to be in those areas. Two very different things to me.

Then he must play differently on the road. This is not an opinion...it is an observation.

I also don’t see anything close to what Rob Sense sees, not even close. I think that he wins all or most his battles behind the net and in the corner… a couleuvre like people call him. But the only people that it matters right now is Halifax and Columbus…right now no one is complaining on their side:) Some of your comments apply as a lot of other people regarding size and skating, but right now it’s irrelevant as he is lighting it up like rarely seen over the last 20-30 years. Dumais added 10lbs this summer and speed (still not perfect) and will add another 10lbs next summer and will be way more explosive at 185lbs (He might play pro at 185-190lbs). It is behing said that he is one of the most driven player that Halifax has seen in a while and we know that they have seen their share. Nothing else to add. Nothing garanteed in his future, but completely disagree with this evaluation, but we all have our opinion, which is nice here.

Yup, and he's spoken in interviews that he's well aware of the size "issue" and that it's not a bother to him. He knows exactly what he has to do in the gym and with his speed to succeed in the NHL. He's obviously heard "too small" enough and for a kid to already have put in the work this summer... Well look out, cause you can't stop a determined kid. Another thing for certain, he does not lack confidence.

Jordan Dumais with no hesitation after being cut from Team Canada at the World Junior Selection Camp. 2 goals today. Just going to keep on buzzing!

If he scores the same amount of goals and points in remaining regular season games,
what last season; he'll en up with 50 goals, 82 assists, 132 points but... i think he scores even more
points in his remaining games of the season what last season because he has had better season
this season what last season and also he is one season more developed.

maybe what i see is what the coaches from Team Canada also see. Just because a guy piles up the points in the Q doesn't mean he will do the same at higher levels. Dumais has a long way to go. I am not a pro scout. I just watch games and while some drool over this guy...I see a lot of issues with him making the transition. If I am wrong...great and all the best to the guy.

Coaches/GM of Team Canada also didn't even invite Matthew Savoie to camp this year, or Brandt Clarke last year (now a part of the team this year). He looked good in camp from what I read from journalists reporting. Scott Wheeler even said "He'll be on the 2024 team in Sweden though. You can count on it".

Been playing great (Halifax as a team has in general, though 2x vs Charlottetown helps) since he came back from WJC camp. Had no games played since November due to injury too and picked up 5 goals, 7 pts in the 3 games since his return. Just keeps producing.

With Guenther, Bedard (Playing RW due to depth at C) in the top 6 RW, and Roy and Ostapchuk (Both in last year of eligibility) down the RW, he was always on the outside looking in. Don't think him not making the WJC team diminishes what he's been doing this year.

Excited to see how far he can push his production for the rest of the season. The Mooseheads top 3 single season records are Abid (137), Nagy (126), and Redi (124). Dumais last season was 4th (109). Think he should top last season, could come close to that top 3 should he rmain healthy.

Dumais is an offensive winger.

His place on TCJ was on the top-6, but when you look at the guys there, he didn't stand a chance.

He's a fix for next year team though.

No racism here (for Bolduc neither), and I'm a proud french québécois myself.

P.S.: Dumais is an anglophone from Mtl west island.
He speaks good french but his mother tongue is English.

This above.

HC is nothing if not consistent for better or worse and he's a small scoring forward from the QMJHL when there's multiple other forwards who are bigger, scoring, and have "paid their dues". He doesn't make the team because of frankly archaic team selection criterion that HC will almost never be called on because of how consistently strong the Canadian Hockey Pipeline is.

I think I just had a stroke……

Can’t teach hockey sense and this kid has it in spades.

He put in a very disappointing defensive effort yesterday. The first 2 Moncton goals were a reflection of him not even trying to approach the puck carrier. It seems as if he’s letting the new additions to the team do all the heavy lifting and he’s just been out there playing sniper when they get him the puck. Yes he’s still producing points but man I cursed him a couple times yesterday
