There was no world where he was ready for the NHL this year and I am obviously higher on him then most people are. He needs time to get stronger and faster before playing pro hockey, in the meantime he is going to absolutely destroy junior hockey for the next two years lol

Opinions. I respect yours.
In my opinion, he is NHL ready.

FYI, in todays hockey you do not need to bulk up necessarily, or become stronger,
some players do choose that option, but luckily things are changing.

Kevin Fiala 5 foot 10 / 206 lbs
Alex DeBrincat 5 foot 7 / 160 lbs

Which one you think is stronger and more physical?
the answer may surprise you

Right but Alex DeBrincat wasn't physically ready for the NHL at 18 years old either and Dumais quite clearly is not ready as well. If he is pushing to make the NHL by the time he is 20-21 then his development has gone perfectly.

You're delusional

I can’t beleive the habs passed on this kid.. with that much talent you just have to swing for the home run.

George is possibly delusional but Dumais being ready isn't as crazy as it sounds. I don't think he is ready but he is much stronger and faster than he was last year and the puck just follows him around, even vs NHLers in the pre-season he fit right in.

Jordan Dumais with 10 assists in 4 games.

He finished last season with 70pts in 68 games.

His passing, playmaking ability is incredible. Currently is helping a very young Mooseheads squad to a 3-0-1 start to the season!

Halifax next opponent (22nd at Halifax) is the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies
Jordan has 2 career games vs Huskies; 2 goals and an assist.

---

In his last 74 regular season games in the QMJHL

44 goals
81 assist
125 points
1.70 ppg

as an 17 & 18 year old (is 18 another 6 months or so)

A hat trick with a whole period to go, should’ve been credited with an extra secondary assist yesterday. Either way he’s at 20 points in 9 games. His eye coordination and finding open room and plays just shocks me. His skating is getting slightly better also could work on his defensive abilities. But I really hope we see him play for Canada in the World Juniors as it’s also ironically in Halifax. He’s going to the NHL I guarantee it, he may not be an impactful player but he’s going to be there. His Hockey IQ is through the roof. He’s on pace for over 120pts which would be absolutely ridiculous for an 18 year old.

5 point night 4 goals 1 assist, he’s certainly making the impossible, possible. What he does out there is hard to put into words. Lol
