no interest signing him to a contract yet?.. like is that a known fact or is it just your opinion?(actually wondering and not being sarcastic)

Not at this point. My brother in law asked him in passing at the prospects camp at shawnigan lake and he said he had no interest in going to the WHL.

He meant they'd rather keep his NCAA eligibility and have him develop there instead of the WHL

I could have seen Vancouver pushing Boeser to the CHL if he was still planning on going to the University of Wisconsin, which was his original NCAA commitment. Wisconsin is a complete dumpster fire when they decided to retain their head coach.

Nashville signed their 2014 2nd rounder(Jack Dougherty) to a contract to get him out of Wisconsin.

UND is a NCAA powerhouse and is very well known and respected for developing players that go on to play in the NHL.

This. Boeser should have a good season, and UND will really help him develop a pro game.

How many years do you think he'll spend in the NCAA?.....UND is not exactly Yale or Harvard......pretty sure if he plays there for a couple of years and then signs a pro contract, he'd still be able to finish his degree at summer school.

I'd say 2 years in the NcAA, and then 1-2 years in the AHL.

That seems probable.

UND is really not a bad place for a prospect to "cook" for a couple years at all though. And Boeser doesn't strike me as a "one and done" NCAA prospect. That avenue is always open to him...but a couple years at UND ought to give him a chance to build his way into a prominent role at a school with a solid development track record. Nothing wrong with that, other than that it's a lot less readily accessible for Canuck fans in the interim.

Were it Wisconsin...yeah, you may be right. May have been Dub-bound on advice of the Canucks. But i'm pretty confident either route ought to do a pretty solid job developing him at this point.

Good college players tend to like to go straight from the NCAA to the NHL. If he thinks he's going to the AHL for a couple of years, he'll probably stay in school.

Not really, it's actually very rare for that to happen even for good college players.

Oshie and Toews are the only UND players to not play a game in the AHL in recent memory. Parise (Lockout), Zajac, Stafford all did time to name a few

I for sure thought he was who Flyers were targeting at 29 due to Hakstol connection, he recruited him to UND. He's gonna be a stud, happy with Konecny though.

Streaming the USA exhibition online.

Tkachuk and Boeser had quite the game.

Boeser has one of, if not the best shot on Team USA.

The blue squad guys should be worried about not making the team.

Blown out today 10-3, and lost yesterday 5-2.

While the white team has won both of their games pretty easily.

No team white actually lost to team blue lol. Ironic...

His shot is incredible. Just insane release.

4:49 #1 goal
7:09 #2 goal
12:14 #3 goal

I think he could have the 2nd best shot in the draft, if were just talking pure shooting.
