25 goals in 16 games?? How is this not being talked about more?? Video game numbers.

Almost twice as many goals as the next player in the league, and his goals alone put him in the top 10 in the league in points. Ridiculous.

When was the last time someone scored at this pace in a junior league?

Is he just feeding off strome/raddysh or is he creating? Tough to keep a player with his numbers out of the top 10 if he keeps it up.

Not at this pace (which has to slow down) but Tavares and Kane scored at more than a goal a game in 2006-07. OHL stats doesn't have his Sh% but I'd love to see it.

Yet some people don't consider him a 1st rounder. Tired of seeing small players plummet and then look like steals not to much later. I wouldn't hesitate to take him top-15 if he continues this

I agree, it will likely eventually fall.

But still, he generates shots at an insane rate. 79 shots in just 16 games. Even if he shot percentage were to half, he would still average 0.75 goals per game.

I will be surprised if he makes the USA WJC team, but you never know.

Last year he was a product of Mcdavid this year of Strome i guess?:sarcasm: This guy is so underrated .... size doesn't matter when you are that good... St-louis or even Gaudreau would agree on that

It gets to a point where you just can't ignore the production. Based on his production so far (granted there is still a lot of season left) it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him go that high.

I'd be interested to see even the last player to score at this pace over the same number of games, because that alone is super impressive. Makes it more impressive that these numbers are from a draft eligible player, not some 20 year old overager.

Kid is on pace for 106 goals if he somehow kept up this unworldly pace.

.825 goals a game for his whole ohl career including playoffs. He's on track for around 68 goals in 68 games even if he can just keep that up at this point. That's has to be one of the best undrafted ohl guys ever I would think.

He'll get drafted, it's just a matter of where. I haven't seen him play much (I will when I go home for Thanksgiving) but I assume he'll have to have really great speed to handle the NHL. Small players have to be quick and dynamic in their skates to to make an impact.

He means OHL draft, Debrincat will definitely be drafted into the NHL.

I will stick to my guns - look for this guy to be drafted by a team taking a second dip into the 1st (if he goes there).

Not that I don't think he is good enough to be a teams 1st pick - Similar to Konecny, I see a team that has their guy picked early making a move to get him later in the 1st round.

Further proves hockey is the most nepotistic sport there is. There is no reason this kid got passed over in the OHL draft. The OHL draft has 15 rounds and is filled with players that teams pick fully knowing they have no chance at making the league. His size hurts him too, of course. 50 goals and 100 points his rookie year was enough for people to think he's worthy of 3rd rounder. Looks like he'll comfortably score 70 this year and you've got people asking if Taylor Raddysh is the reason he's producing. He's absolutely dwarfed Travis Konecny in every metric and he's still not even a consensus first rounder. I suspect he'll continue to prove people wrong.

It will fall but it's not unheard of to see a CHL player shoot around 15-20 percent (at least judging by the Q which I doubt is all that far off the norm from the other two leagues).

I'd say he's got a good shot at 60

The stigma seems to be lightening up a bit recently. DeBincrat and Raddysh(Taylor not Darren) amongst others are players I hope the leafs take a serious look at with their 2nd 1st round pick, especially if they take a d-man with the early pick.

I'm not familiar enough with who is in position in the CHL to draft their relatives and I can't think of many cases where it's been noticeable in NHL circles.

Gaudreau, Panarin, Point

He'll get drafted in the.... 2nd. Teams might see him as 1st rounder but will have 1 guy ahead of him due to size
