He has done all of this WITHOUT playing with Kane. Look at his most common line mates this season:
Plus, he is getting less than 15 minutes per game. Q has definitely not showcased Debrincat. It will be interesting to see what a new coach does next season. The two best playmakers on the Hawks are Kane and Schmaltz and Debrincat has had zero exposure to either of them.

He has also played with Anisimov and with Schmaltz (game here, game there in a row)

- not here to biatch about his ice time per say and be jealous about Barzal's ice time,he has deserved his calder,
but it would of been nice if his TOI be somewhere 17,5 18-18,5 range like Barzal&Keller.

another goal and assist tonight for Cat - plus helped possibly to crush St Louis and their playoff hopes which I absolutely love!!

terribly mishandled this year - averaged barely 14 minutes a game, his power play usage beyond brutal - 10 games of either 0 or under 1:00 minute of ice-time - another 28 games under 1:50 (just under 2 minutes) of power play time...played with pylons half the damn year...LEADS THE HAWKS IN GOALS STILL IN SPITE OF THIS INSANITY....

great job kid, knew you could do it 4 years back, damn glad to see where you are today and what your future looks like.

His ice time been scandalously low, even today.

All together 13:57, which from 3 minutes came from PP&PK (about 1:40&1:20)
that makes his 5 on 5 ice time only 10 minutes and 57 seconds,
not even 11 ******* minutes!!!!!!!!!!!

Only Patrick Sharp and Victor Ejdsell played fewer 5 on 5 minutes tonight
From 18 players Brinksy played 16th most minutes 5 on 5 hockey.

| I know i shouldn't be ***** about his ice time and i know Barzal has been the best rookie this season
by far, respectfully. Still....i can't help but <sigh>...Barzal played 5 minutes more in his last game 5 on 5.
That's not fair, i know pro sports sometimes isn't fair, but it still sucks that not all are treated
the same way. - coach Q sucks - |

28g+24a=52pts +9, only 6 minutes of penalties, great job cat!!! - hope you get that 30 goals.
DeBrincat will not win the Calder, but he just might win Lady Bing,

Do you think now that he has earned Q's trust, he will have a spike in ice time next year (or possibly if Chicago has a new coach)?

Well for last night's game, Brinksy looked like crap for most of it. Maybe not entirely his fault seeing as how he was on a line with guys who have only been in this league for less than two weeks, but you hardly noticed him out there for the first two periods.

But unfortunately for the Blues, DeBrincat is one of those players who can just come out of nowhere in a game and make a difference. If he played the whole game like he did the third, he'd have gotten more ice time last night (though I agree that he needs more minutes and opportunities throughout the season).

Do you think now that he has earned Q's trust, he will have a spike in ice time next year (or possibly if Chicago has a new coach)?

He's earned Q's trust. Q has had him play during the last minute of close games and has started trying him on the PK (doesn't actually look too bad at it either). He needs more minutes and will get them next year, but I don't think his lacking of playing time is because of trust. If anything it's just because Q is certifiably insane.
