I don't know how I would project DeBrincat. Next season is going to be huge for him. No more McDavid to play on the same line with.

Gallagher never hit DeBrincat's point total in any year in the Dub, let alone in his rookie year at 16-17 years old....I get what your saying in playing style, but IMO this is underrated Alex as he has amazing skill and hands.

51 goals as a rookie...no player in the OHL has done that as a rookie since Patrick Kane.

I am not calling DeBrincat a top 5-10 player yet, but there is no way on Earth there are 30 players better than him as it stands for this draft. A lot to prove for the young man next year, but his skill, edge work, tenacity, grit, and willingness to go to the dirty areas is what makes him a potential star player...so much to like with him...

he rarely played with Strome even strength when McDavid went down with the hand injury (missed 12 games) and during the time he was at WJC (8 games).

He plays mostly with Strome, and since strome is having a similar season (when he wasn't playing with Mcdavid) to Seguin...I think it's best to compare how good Seguins' linemate were after he after

So, after doing some research, Debrincat is having a similar season to chris terry (seguin's linemate)....Though, you do have to add in the fact that Debrincat is three years younger than terry when he played with Seguin...So, I expect debrincat to be a pretty solid top 20ish pick
