Debrusk is awful lol he has 0 value everyone knows theve been desperate to trade him and will not get a good return. Hronek is a 24 year old Top 4 D, you aren't close on value.
Hronek struggles in his own zone and is nowhere near as valuable as Boeser.... like not even close. The difference in value is much bigger than a 3rd round pick.

And on top of that, he the exact opposite type of d that the Canucks need to add.

Mate, I completely agree with your assessment of Debrusk.

But you may have missed my point which was that a (Maybe) number4D who is skilled and somewhat soft and not strong Defensively is not what we need any more than Debrusk would be something we need. The pick pieces need to be "1" and not "2" or worse "3," especially if we are getting other even decent parts we can't use to fix holes in our roster.

Specifically, Hronek would have to play on our 3rd pair, as we have OEL and QH on 1 and 2, and he isn't going to be a good fit with either of them. That would make him a number 5 here, and we don't have the right 6 LD to play with him to insulate him.

Therefore, take the two bad offers and match them up with each other and maybe leave Boeser out of it, OR, please take into consideration the team you are trading with. Even if Hronek had as much value as a young top line goal scoring winger (Boeser), which he doesn't, this would not be a good fit for a trade (which has been stated many times on these boards).

Halak with some retention for a second. Will probably be later in the second round as I imagine it’s a contender. I wouldn’t trade him to Edmonton, any other team works.

Looking to pass them in the standings. Let whatever is happening over there continue.
Hopefully the management team doesn’t agree. That was certainly the old managements philosophy to sneak into the playoffs at any expense.

If the Oilers were willing to pay a premium you say no just to keep a guy who play 2 out of every 10 games?

He would instantly give that team confidence and probably start every game while the Oilers went on a tear. The problem with the Oilers is between the ears right now.

Boeser is not that good this year

He wasn't no, until the Canucks brought Boudreau to town. First thing the new coach did, was go to Boeser and tell him to shoot the puck more and to have fun. Well it seemed to have paid off, Boeser was on a tear before he went onto covid protocol. It's apparent that he just wasn't digging Green's system anymore, but then again, who was!?. I wouldn't trade Brock unless he receives something "Quality" in return. When he's On, he's just too valuable to the team to give up on. If only the Canucks could have all of their big guns rolling at once, Pettersson, Boeser, Hughes, Miller, Horvat and Demko all rolling at once could be very entertaining and dangerous to play against.

Best player last year though?

Was injured in pre season. Disengaged with coaching and management and then 4 goals in 5 games with Bruce before Covid protocol.

He'll be just fine he's an absolute snipe show just entering his prime

Nah he doesn't really struggle in his own zone but he has had problem with Red Wings defensive schemes (if you can call it that) like everyone else on the roster under Blashill. Red Wings isnt interested in Boeser either. Doubt we'll agree on the value but since we likely wont trade Hronek for a winger its irrelevant anyways.
