Rundblad

Where do you see him going this upcoming season, full timer in Chicago, traded or sent to the AHL?

He's a keeper. Ideally a number five defenseman. The blackhawks will sign him for 2,3 more years at seasons end.

He does have the Leddy instinct in the corner, but to a worse degree. He's a fairly big guy, so I don't get it. Playing not to get hurt won't lead to a long NHL career.

And the ops know it. It is an issue that we can't afford to have at crunch time. I look for Stan to go shopping for another veteran back there.

Good luck with that. The best thing that Stan can do is nothing so he doesn't get fleeced on another trade.

Rublad is a league minimum pay scale player --- what the Hawks are relegated to have on the roster in order to pay our high end guys. With league minimum pay grade players you will get some good, mostly neutral and from time-to-time poor play. For Runblad we get just that --- mostly pretty good a good deal of neutral and like the last two games some bad. Overall, Runblad is good for the pay and all we can afford. To have the privilege of the Kanes, Keiths, Tazer, and the other 1/2 dozen stars we have on the team we live with a few league minimum pay grade guys and Runblad is one of them. For what we pay, Runblad is a good deal.

He needs to get it out of his mind that every dman needs to be a puck moving mobile sort. We could use a stay-at-home, physical guy that plays the simple game and won't cough up the puck when pressured physically along the boards.

Rundblad is horrendous, horrid, terrible, awful, garbage ,, he's not NHL player

So that's why he is shared third place in +/- and has 7 points in 25 games, 2 less than Hjalmarsson in 44 games?

That is a Rundblad that looks far more confident than the one we have now.

Yep. And as a person who watched him close in Sweden i know that he is the kind of player that you have to keep a very long leash on. But after he has tried and failed he will come back better than ever. You have to let him make mistakes without benching him or cutting down on his ice time. That's what happened to him in Skellefteå AIK.

He definitly has the potential of being a solid top 4 and a top powerplay specialists in the NHL. His hand-eye coordination is incredible and his vision is top class.

If there is anyone who should be out for a 2 minute powerplay it's Rundblad and not Duncan Keith.

I'll just wish that Q will let him have a solid shot in the top 4 so you could see what we saw his last year in Sweden.

It's a process with Q. I'd say he's on the uptrend in Q's system considering he hasn't been scratched at much this year. Rundy is one of the few players Q has described as having played 'excellent' after a game this year.
