And by "everyone" i mean Friedman and company, so ya. Seriously though in like 5 articles I've read the Flames are among teams interested in available goaltenders, most recently, Robin Lehner. I was under the impression we had a bit of a log jam in net, and that Ramo may not be offered an extension to allow Ortio to move up, and for Gilles to start in the AHL. Wouldn't adding Lehner add another unproven, "potential" keeper to the problem? Considering the price is a top 6 forward and a draft pick, for argument sake I will assume its a 4th round pick this year or a third round pick next year(-ish). I think the goalie market is flooded, and that asking price will scare away a ton of teams who go else where, and the price could drop, but wtf do i know, (answer: notmuch)

Potential, assuming Murray gets his asking price, trade would look like:

CGY:
Any second line guy (excluding Sam B, Duh) ,
Backlund, Jones, Colborne
4th Rnd 2015 or 3rd rnd 2016

OTT:
Robin Lehner.

Backlund on his own would be too much. I hate it.

For the record, I do not like this idea at all, and hope it dies faster than the Kessel ********, but its been circulating. Can anyone tell me why Treliving would even put in a call to Murray, even just tire kicking, WHY give that up when u have a UFA in Ramo who has been really good at times, and the cost would be $$$. If he walks its Ortios shot as G2, I dont get it, at all. PLZ EXPLAIN.

Murray won't get close to that. Any GM paying that price for Lehner should be executed during the presser

to the extreme.
I'm talking so painful torturous execution. Bamboo shutes under the finger nails. Car battery to the nipples. Paper cuts to the tongue, cut his eyelids off and feed him nothing but sleeping pills, cut him off at the knees and make him walk down the stairs and see his butt closed and keep feeding him, and feeding him and feeding him.....

Meh I think Treliving's trying to run up the price for Edmonton. Flames are fine in the Goalie department Edmonton not so much. Slat's wanting a first for Talbot.. Know Lehner's asking price is a top 6 forward and a pick.

Can't see any team trading anything more than a cap dump of their own in exchange. Only a remote chance a team like the Coyotes would take him for little, and that's only if they needed help in reaching the cap floor. And they'd have to wait until the late summer for that possibility, and the buyout period is long done by then.

More importantly, he takes up a valuable roster spot. I'd much, much rather have Bollig and Byron as the 13th and 14th forwards than keep Raymond as a placeholder.

Raymond had his best even strength production in his career (high shooting pct compared to previous years though)and by far his worst power play production in his career this last season. Hopefully he rebounds next season because he brings nothing to us if he isnt scoring on the PP.

He was actually third on our team for even strength points/60 and first for even strength goals/60

However he only managed one PP assist and no goals while having second PP ice time.
