He's been inconsistent his entire career including his time with the Oilers.

If you can get a team to over value toughness and give you a decent young player for Kassian or a 2nd round pick plus a b prospect that's something you should jump all over.

A lot of players were terrible though...not just Kassian.
I need to see more and I especially want to see more with Tippett driving the bus.
I agree that the fact he is a pending UFA makes it tricky (and riskier) but I just wouldnt deal him yet.

I think that the Jets are paying for potential which is status quo in the NHL now...so this may or may not be a bad deal. Time will tell.
