On Sportsnet they just said a few tidbits:

Jets are the front runners for Stone. Ottawa still looking for a grade A prospect as part of a package.

Jets also interested in Hayes. Rangers have interest in Logan Stanley.

Eric Staal does not want to be traded but he has no control over that.

Ottawa can suck it. Rentals don't get Vesalainen or Roslovics. Once they calm down, let's make a deal.

Hayes could be interesting, but high priced rentals I really would rather see someone extended or with term .

Staal, buddy, come play for Winnipeg. You can commute for a few months and then sign a few 1 year deals in Minnesota.

Not surprised at all. I've said this before, but I've been watching the moose this season, Stanley has improved big time... Because he's usually the best player on the ice.

Really hope the Jets don't trade him...

I'm hoping Comrie, or maybe Spacek?

Can the Jets afford someone with term tho? The cap will be pretty tight as it is.

If Stanley + a mid pick gets Hayes I'll be pretty happy!

Agreed. I saw Stanley play in person twice this season with the Moose and I'd prefer we keep him.

I still think he has a lot of room to grow his game. I think he'll be a stud Dman when it's all said and done.

He looks good on the PP and he's so sound at moving the puck.

I couldn't believe he got so much heat on these boards.

Chevy must want to hang onto him, he did trade up to get him, can't see him giving up on him at this point.

Would be totally fine if the Jets gave up Green, Spacek, Petan, a 1st and a 4th for Stone.

What concerns me is Chevy's rumoured initial offer for Stone was a 1st, Petan and Stanley.

Dont think the jets would do that. They are 3 years into development of Stanley. They would rather give up a late 1st rather than Stanley and not have to start all over again with a 18 year old.

We all would be , but that would be less than they got for Duchene. To Sens fans that is a bunch of garbage a 1st and 4th.

I still don't see much upside in Stanley. He is a 10 point player in the AHL this year and likely has ceiling that is a bit higher than Chariot, I personally don't want a big time rental but I would have no issue trading Stanley in a package.

Well, he does. He submitted a 10 team No Trade list at the beginning of the year, and apparently loaded up the list with likely playoff teams like NSH, WPG, TBL, etc..

They must have meant the fact he does not have a full no trade clause, because he doesn't want to be traded at all.

Yeah, I've seen 9? Moose games live, and he looks improved but wasn't the Jets best dman, let alone player. There wasn't a game where I was ever thinking "wow!". Still some time away, but I generally hate rentals so I'd rather just trade for a depth guy with a 3rd or 4th+ and hope Stanley pans out. But enough Stanley.

Can get a decent depth piece with a 3rd. I'm really not feeling any big rentals, especially with Ottawa's insane price.
