Yeah, the conditions on those picks can make it 2019 and 2020 firsts, if the Jets are after Stone they couldn't match the conditions on those picks.

Conditions on that 2nd or 3rd are not great. The 2nd turns into 1st if Dallas wins 2 rounds and the 3rd turns into a 1st of Zucc re-signs. While the second condition would probably not have bothered us, that first condition would have been a tough pill to swallow for us for a player who if we traded for would have mostly played in a bottom-6 role.

Stone (and maybe Kreider) or bust in terms of forwards. Maybe DeMelo as an injury insurance throw-in if you're getting Stone but really wouldn't touch anyone else for defense.

I doubt the Sens would move DeMelo, they need that player on the roster to save some face on the Karlsson trade.

Stone would be great, but for the price tag Zucker would be better.

Too expensive for what he brings to the table and not someone we can afford without breaking up the current roster.

What is going on in Columbus is out of the Twilight Zone. They are a 2021 1st and 3rds in 2019 and 2021 from having no picks in the first 3 rounds over the next 3 years (some conditions still in play) but people around here would be losing there s*** big time if Chevy was doing this for a marginal playoff team.
