Apparently Stamkos’ ES metrics have cratered and he’s a PP guy now only.
Yeah I think his 5 on 5 play and defensive play sucks. Guy can still shoot the puck though. Would be interesting if he ever wanted to do a cheapish 1 year deal playing with McDrai who could get him the puck. Hes probably not a great fit but I still think we need some guys who are shooters.

I highly doubt any team is giving Henrique 5M. I can see teams giving Brown 2M. But why take 2M when you can take 1.5M and win the cup with the Oilers?
If Dakota Joshua gets 3, I can see Connor Brown getting an offer of 3.

Why do people want him so badly? Boston wants nothing to do with him.
Boston would keep him around if they could, but probably can't offer him a raise.

Joshua scored at triple the rate of Brown this year. He also outscored him in the playoffs despite playing 6 fewer games.

Brown is not getting offers from anyone that start with a 2.

Watching our cherry picker strategy work so well against Florida. Makes me way more interested in a guy like Duclair. I liked the fit even before, with Duke acting as the McDavid for Drai to send away on breakaways on line 2. If hard forechecks become a thing the Oil will need to contend with now that teams have seen Florida use it against us, Duke would be a great cherry picker. Our rush offence would be much improved in general too.

Imagine Stamkos in RNH's spot on the PP. We'd probably have a 40% PP all year.

3 days after winning a cup and its rumored the Panthers are shopping Ekblad to make room for Reinhart...Vegas's ruthlessness, Tampa saying see ya to franchise cornerstone Stamkos. You have to be ruthless in pursuit of winning in a cap world, and there is a reason those last 3 teams are champions. We can't be worried about giving out legacy contracts or moving on from players like Ceci because they're "well liked". The Oilers would be wise to learn from these teams.

I can see him going to the Kings. His wife probably doesn't want to leave California and they are the only decent team in that state. If it was up to Henrique he would stay, but it's not his final decision.

I've always liked the player as well. Can skate like the wind, and has some good skill. A bit of concern though with the amount of times he's moved around the league.

Yeh. High motor player, speed to burn. Fits our speed build to a tee. But unlike some of the burners we have like Mcleod and Foegele, Duclair actually has offensive creativity and execution on the rush.

Yeh he’s moved around for sure. But also keep in mind that Tampa wanted him and saw his work in Florida for years. There’s probably warts in his game and his low AAV will speak to that. But that’s what also makes him affordable for us.

Agreed on Ceci. However I still believe eventually these ruthless teams will end up suffering for their disloyalty for players that made them successful. Players take note of these things and so do agents. Once the allure of winning a few cups wears off they will have a hard time finding players IMHO.

The Panthers aren't holding their parade until Sunday, June 30 so there's a good chance that certain players will be participating after they have been traded or told they aren't going to be re-signed.
