We are at exactly 0 cap space with a 22 man roster. So, do we add another big piece? Do we have any cap after Bjugstad?
Have to be able to move Foegele, Yamamoto, or preferably both in a big deal here...we still have lots of picks and prospects who are years down the line.
Technical right now the team has zero cap space. I suspect they'll move Yamo to facilitate more, plus sending down Shore gives them enough space for a guy on cheap retention. So, do we add another big piece? Do we have any cap after Bjugstad?

Maybe, but don't underestimate how hard sellers want to sell, Connor Bedard is almost there for all bad teamsWe are at exactly 0 cap space with a 22 man roster.
If we make a move, it has to be upgrading guys like Yamo or Ceci. So their contracts out, with retained contracts coming back. Seems more like the summer unfortunately...
Detroit retains half, one more year.Vrana to the Blues for nothing, good deal for both teams. St Louis gets a player, it doesn't appear to cost the Wings cap space
As promising as Broberg and Desharnais look, I think they need one more vet defender for the right side. Bouchard, Broberg and Desharnais is too much inexperience for a team with Cup aspirations IMO.I got a feeling we get one more trade. Probably for a defender and another depth forward. Yamamoto and Shore traded/sent down can make it work. I'm gonna guess it's Klingberg. Maybe we get a surprise and it's Henrique and Klingberg. But even if nothing happens, I'm good with what we got too.
Damn, fantastic deal for St LouisDetroit retains half, one more year.
I don't think the Wings want a contract back as wellThe blues can definitely take that risk I wouldn’t have minded if we did with that retention and his shot.
Put an ankle tracker on the guy when he leaves the rink and drag him back home from the bar if he goes out (kidding)
I can see them sending Shore down and bringing in another forward. A RD would be nice as well, but I don't see them bumping out VD.
I'm also really interested in what Calgary does today. They either need to fire Sutter or start trading away some assets.
No way in hell Grier takes Ceci. Possibly Yam. It won't happen until summer.Sheary @ 50%
Yamamoto + Ceci + picks for Karlsson @ 6.3
Get it done Kenny
Grier will take Ceci and he will do it with a smile on his face.No way in hell Grier takes Ceci. Possibly Yam. It won't happen until summer.
Man, I'm hating Rishaug more and more. Does he realize Ekholm can play LD or RD? And you can EASILY switch Broberg anywhere with any RD. Makes it sounds like we can't change players around if needed. "Oh you traded Barrie...now there is no balance in the defence"...man, cry more?
I think this team really loves Yamamoto because hes a small guy that gives it his all and when you see that you realize you have no excuses. I'd imagine that last top 6 spot is his to lose. With Ekholm and Bjustad recently brought in, I don't expect anything else to happen today which is ok. I'd love a surprise trade for a top 6 RW though!
Their owners would rather die than rebuild.Calgary is done.
They would likely have to go 14-5-1 to make the playoffs.
