Parayko I think works easily. Yams + Ceci is almost exact cap hit for Parayko + replacement level forward.

Hayes is maybe harder. But I'm sure there are lots of other options out there to.

For the starred defenders you just run 4 guys by committee in those 3 spots.

Parayko makes 150k more than Ceci Yams combined. Blues ain’t retaining fit 7 years.

Henrique is injured and might not play again till later in the season.

Moving multiple guys out for single players hurts this team right now till the playoffs.

It’s either cope or the thing where someone projects their own insecurities onto others because they’re afraid to see it in themselves.

Or they’re saying what they need to say to keep listeners and sponsors happy

Kind of surprised honestly we havent seen more goaltenders moved. It feels like such a premium position anymore. Like pretty much any goalie that can play gets a contract nowadays. As much as we hate Campbells 5 mil cap hit, most fringe guys are getting 2mil+. You dont see that many goalies sign for league minimum.

I wonder if Markstrom didnt have a NMC if Calgary would just trade him and blame the season on him. (which it is partially his fault lol).

Holland got Ekholm and Bjugstad with no cap space to start (without having to attach a pick to dump Jesse) and basically spent 1.5m for Ekholm next season with Barrie out and him in. That's pretty darn good if you ask me.

I would have liked a depth Dman add but it's not the end of the world. The Ceci upgrade in addition to Ekholm is just too much to ask for right now, save it for the offseason.

I don’t know who that Twitter guy is but Saros actually makes a lot of sense. It’s your money in money out scenario as he makes 5 million and Campbell makes 5 million. Poile and Holland have also been talking a lot recently and maybe Trotz wants to do a more fulsome rebuild when he takes over.

I’d be willing to give up a lot for Saros, a tandem of Saros and Skinner gives us an amazing chance at Stanley.

Saros for Campbell, Yamo (shown previous interest), a 1st in 2024 and a 1st in 2025.

We get 3 years of Saros for McDavid’s window.

We use Yamo’s salary and pick up Henrique.

I have always found that Flames fans and media are more concerned with the Oilers (and Edmonton for that matter) than we ever are with them ... take it as a compliment. We're living in their heads rent free.

Skinner's stats are blowing Markstrom's out of the water and Foegele has 1 less goal then Huberdeau while playing half the minutes and no PP time....

Capfriendly is accurate. You have to send Shore down and there is your money for a player up to 1.7M with 50% retention.

Wow so hard right.

That’ll probably be a summer move once they know what the cap is going up to. To improve on any of those guys we are going to have to move cap out of our forwards to do so.

With the west going so hard I’m glad we haven’t really spent on rentals. Ekholm was the right move. If there was a similar deal for a righty I think I would have been done.

Okay and again, what player our there is available that firs there that’s got you so upset we haven’t traded for? From a team with retention spots left.
