Well, it sounds like old Boone Jens didn’t have any troubles with Babcock and speaks well of him. Boone is a free agent. Babcock is with the team ‘in theory.’ Jenner is a third line centre, Oilers need a third line centre. Eh?

Wonder if Kirby Dach springs loose in Montreal. They won’t want to extend a qualifying offer because of the obligatory raise, but that’ll make him a UFA. Brother plays here. I’ve always liked him.

Would love Boone but he is going to cost $6M in this market. Who know though, maybe he takes a one year deal to play under Babs and with a better team than he has ever been on to try and win a Cup before signing his retirement contract.

I think they're cousins actually, but I don't mind trying it. I sincerely doubt Montreal qualifies him. His qualifying offer is set to be $4M, no way Montreal ponies that up.

Sources tell me Gregor was well liked here. I used Gregor’s sources.
Speaking of Gregor's sources......

Anytime the organization does something he doesn’t like or someone disagrees he becomes an arrogant cry baby.

I also can’t stand when media tries to push their narrative. He of course brings a Commodore on who hates Babs with every cell in his body but does he talk to any of the long list of players that liked playing for him? No.

Frank did the same thing to the some extent. Quick to say some anonymous agent was concerned about his players playing for Babcock, for all we know this agent could have 3 players. Meanwhile not a peep when 2 heavy hitter agents came out and said their players have no problem playing for him.

The difference is Frank isn’t acting like Babcock went into his house and stretched out his slippers.

I disagree with this actually. Frank was acting pretty unhinged and incredibly biased.

We can agree to agree and agree to disagree on things. Gregor is an idiot, and is way more wrong than right.

I agree with you on that, just in this case he is right on Babcock. He is one guy who is actually seems interested in holding mgmt accountable on this hire. I still dont like him, but I can see hes actually doing his job here for once.

No, he was, and I agree with him there. He's gone to co-signing it because that's how he rolls.

I guess the NHLPA and NHL disagree, along with a ton of players who had first had experience playing for him. Sure he may be abrasive, and demanding of the players. Boohoo. By the sounds of things it was only a few kids who got upset and had their feelings hurt. The more mature members on that Columbus team were fine. Doesn't change the fact that he was one of the best coaches out there that was available. Are there risks? Sure. Let's give it a go though, shall we?

I've liked him too. But don't trust him enough to stay healthy.
That’s the risk, though that’s also the only reason he might become available. At this point, the way the team is aging, we probably have to take some risky swings. Depending on how his contractual situation breaks, it might be a low cost/high potential reward situation.

This just sounds like your personal opinion lol. Nothing to do with what I am talking about.

This is 100% how I see it, plus he can be sheltered in Edmonton more than he has been previously, so that might help him get his game and health in order.
