Thanks, I knew when I wrote it, it was too long, but that amount doesn't look as bad late in the contract if the cap keeps increasing.

I kinda wish they would have pushed harder for under $4M, but $4.1M for a 2RHD, is more than reasonable, imo.

This is one of those win-win situations where you really can't go wrong. I have Vegas as #1 but Florida is a very close second right now. That may change. The only thing that keeps Vegas ahaed is that McCrimmon seems so slimy while I don't have the same issue with Zito. But the bottom line is that I dislike these two teams as much as pretty much any in the whole time I have watched hockey.

The planets aligned for them is the only reason they made it to the finals. Minny would have beat them and Colorado if healthy probably would have. They got the ultimate coaching bump and probably one of the easiest pathes besides Carolina.

I was reading earlier that the Oilers had 8 players on NMCs, Vancouver had 7, and the rest of the division had 10 combined.
Bump that number up to 9 I guess.

I’m inclined to believe that Brady Tkachuk forced a trade to Florida. There’s no way Staios would be stupid enough to trade him there on his own accord, considering they would have to go through Florida to get to the finals. We really need to do something about these NTCs. They’re being weaponized to form super teams. The NHL is starting to turn into the NBA with these prima Donna players forcing trades to preferred destinations. It’s absolutely ruining the league.

I think that's more an American thing though...maybe even Russians as well? I saw a tweet from some Sens blogger mentioning it was reported Tkachuk's attitude changed significantly post Olympics. There's speculation their group chat was basically a bunch of them colluding to join together.

Eh, I think people are wishful thinking on that whole "Vegas isn't good achsually!" thing.

They have Eichel, Marner, Stone, Dorofeyev, Hertl, Karlsson, Howden, Barbashev up front.

They're probably as deep or deeper than Colorado or anyone else in the league, they just weren't listening to Cassidy anymore.

Sure, but what you assume they'll have to retain, and what they might end up retaining are probably very different.
