He is 28 and a year removed from back to back 50 and 40 point seasons as a defenseman and has two 50 point seasons. Definitely has his flaws but bad players don’t put up that kind of NHL production.

None of the three have sufficient enough defensive prowess to be considered a 'safer bet'.

I take TDA today because he has a history of staying healthy and he has a consistent history of even strength production. He's the better fit to play more minutes if the idea is pairing him with Nurse.

That said, any of these guys could be trade bait by the deadline.

I thought he f***ed with K'Andre Miller which sparked all of that. Either way, despite points in the past, he was useless last year, and there's little suggest he's improved. If he can swallow the Russian issue, he should play there.

Schultz would be interested in returning because he isn't interested in learning any Russian which would be his next option.

That said, I don't really want any of these names. Barrie for familiarity I would have been able to get behind but the other guys don't have that edge and aren't any better than what we've got already.
