Rumor: Rumors & Proposals Thread: “I’d buy that for a dollar!!!” Edition

I think “arms race” is a bit of a myth once the playoffs hit.
The fact of the matter is that most series will all be close. A hot goaltender, hot goal scorer can change a series. What scares me is defensive brainfarts and going in with the same dmen. I guess it is not man on man now lol

ok so trade him????? why was he not available for trade packages then
Well, we don't know if he was available for trade packages.

My point about Stecher in particular is that they wanted a vet RHD Dman so that's why Broberg didn't get that role. There's also a reality that at least one of Ceci, Kulak or VD could be gone this offseason so they'll need somebody young and cheap to fill in so chances are that Broberg will get his chance at some point.
Same with Holloway and the forwards. Foegele is likely to be gone so they'll need some cheap depth to fill in. The idiotic Brown contract has made this even more apparent with a tighter than needed to be cap this offseason.

Darn Trenin would have been nice. Avs making a lot of good moves
Well 2 of them. Walker and Trenin, Mittelstadt is to be determine and Duchame they overpaid.

Fogele is a better player then Eberle esp come playoff time

Dunno why everyone seems to always want former players back just for the sake of it

Just a few thoughts on why we did what we did the past 24 hours.

The reason we have no depth is because our prospects didn't step up.

Holland left space for his prospects to take spots and they never really did. Said this after free agency when there were complaints about the depth of this club. Why waste money during free agency when you have guys that can take the spots.

Unfortunately only Desharnais took the ball and ran, so we are spending assets the past 24 hours.

If McLeod, Holloway and Broberg all took the steps that the team had hoped we wouldn't have been making the acquisitions we did. Throw Brown in there too even though he isn't a prospect, but there were hopes of him filling a big void.

I didn't include Lavoie, but I guess maybe there was an expectation he'd do more at NHL level, but next year I'm sure they'll be giving him a shot.

Is he? Eberle has 47 points in 67 playoff games with 11 in 14 the last playoffs.
Foegele has 16 in 58...3 last year.
How are they even comparable? Eberle puts up better playoff scoring rates than Foegele does regular season.
