I think he meant to say Cale’s younger brother Spinach.

I'd likely be on of those bitching, considering all of those guys are well over 50, and one of them is deceased. Not directed to the OP, but I’m sure the team could load up with Wayne, Mario, Gordie, Bobby, Dominick and some folks would bitch. Some people can’t be happy.![]()
It would just be amazing.Bring him home. Come on Jordan.
Yes provided we do not use any cap on call ups we can use that space on some of browns bonusHave a question, if we have any cap space left after the deadline, can that be applied to Brown’s bonus?
If the Oilers had even mediocre drafting we probably have a Cup by now.Just like Yakupov...just like Puljujarvi, just like Paajarvi, just like the large magnitude of overrated Oilers picks.
Too funny. When I typed my note, I actually wondered how long it would be before that exact comment was made. (Took longer than I thought).I'd likely be on of those bitching, considering all of those guys are well over 50, and one of them is deceased.![]()
They wanted a vet #7 Dman for a win now Cup run and needed a RHD. Broberg is neither of those.not sure where anyone said anything at all like that
its just plain stupid to keep kearing "Broberg and Holloway are not available for upgrades" and then have them buried in the AHL and keep giving them 4th line minutes while you spend assets on "upgrades" for a 7th D
I don’t think we are done until or if Eberle signs that contract. Bob hasn’t tweeted out yet that we are done
Or Copponi or WannerAll your 7th rounders belong to us!! Maybe we can find another 7th round gem like Vinny.
We collect 7th rounders like the Leafs collect 7th defensemen! All your 7th rounders belong to us!! Maybe we can find another 7th round gem like Vinny.
What doors are they knocking on, exactly?Vinny was drafted 8 years ago. People need to chill with this drafted 4 years ago thing. Lots of our prospects are already knocking on doors. If we weren't contenders, they would be playing full time.
ok so trade him????? why was he not available for trade packages thenThey wanted a vet #7 Dman for a win now Cup run and needed a RHD. Broberg is neither of those.
It may and may not time will tell. I see Broberg right now as a guy much like Benson. He has had every opportunity to grab a spot and hasn’t done enough to keep it. Where as Holloway is more like Pitlick he’s good when in but can’t stay healthy long enough to gel. This post wont age well.
Because you also want a #8 dman, and he's also a valuable option if we need to move Kulak next year. Yikes...ok so trade him????? why was he not available for trade packages then
You know how incredibly rare it is to make the NHL as a legit player 8 years past your draft right?Vinny was drafted 8 years ago. People need to chill with this drafted 4 years ago thing. Lots of our prospects are already knocking on doors. If we weren't contenders, they would be playing full time.
so we'll have "not even a 7th dman" in Broberg in our starting roster next year? wonderful news and a fickle Holloway?Foegele, Ceci, Kulak even Vinny might not be Oilers.
Brogberg, Holloway, Lavoie could be full time Oilers next season.
Well thats why they are both in the AHL now. Org doesn't think they are quite ready, so they grab a 7 d to finish the season so Broberg can stay in the AHL and be the 8th guy. Same with Holloway.
The Oilers are trying to make a run to the Cup, they decided they didn't want kids holding down 7th defense and 4C spots. Which really makes sense.so we'll have "not even a 7th dman" in Broberg in our starting roster next year? wonderful news and a fickle Holloway?
gives them 8 months to get ready when the last 5 haven't been enough

Here is the thing about 7th d and 13/14th forwards. You need them to be vets who are used to the only playing once in a while. Its really difficult to just jump in after weeks of not playing and not look like fools. Its a learned skill and young players and prospects don't have that. A guy like Stetcher is used to that. Like you don't want Broberg as your 7th d cause after the first injury you have a guy who hasn't played in like a month having to be game ready. Much better to keep that young guy in the AHL so he is playing constantly before being needed.so we'll have "not even a 7th dman" in Broberg in our starting roster next year? wonderful news and a fickle Holloway?
