I think with Nashville getting Beauvillier it means they are keeping Carrier because they are going for the playoffs

He's a solid guy, don't think that he'd be BSing. What does Carrier bring to the table? Familiarity with Ekholm and? Do we dare pair him with Ek and then Bouch with Nurse or can he settle Nurse's game?

If you like the fancy stats guys, Carrier has been facing the heavy top comp all season in Ekholms role and has done very well. Good player.

I would say 62% of the GA as Ceci does is a huge difference. 10 GA to 16 GA is absolutely massive. And the fact that their GF is only a difference of 2...with the players Ceci plays with? Yeah, I would say far better.

Fair enough, just an odd sample size. Not sure 6 goals over the course of 300ish minutes is massive but at least you backed it up. Im totally for upgrading Ceci just hope it’s an upgrade.

Agreed, and it's more a joke, I'm not worried about his size. Size isn't something the Oilers' blueline lacks.

Any D man from Nashville is a good bet. They are a defense factory and always have been. If Parayko is a pipe dream which it is Carrier is my second choice if we can pry him outa there

The argument would be that they can't get a deal done and would rather salvage an asset than keep a rental player for a playoff run that they don't feel is really going anywhere.

But I agree that Carrier moving seems like a real stretch.

This is why I think we might be uniquely positioned to make this happen.

If we sent Ceci the other way they get a guy that can play in Carrier's place this year and next, then also pick up a sweetener.

I agree that we need to keep Foegele. He's big, fast and physical. He also has good 5 on 5 scoring. If it were a choice between Eberle and Foegele I'd say just keep Foegele. He's a better 5 on 5 scorer than Eberle btw. 29 points vs Eberle's 27
